Need people to help out, starting tomorrow (Dec 7)!!
Tomorrow will be a great "training/learning" day!
The following are some basics in case you're still unsure what this event is and how it operates. We've discussed this in youth but thought it'd be helpful for parents to hear directly!
Customers/Donors:
People drop off their gifts and we quote them based on the sizes and supplies needed. We are careful to organize their gifts in a professional way where everything stays together and includes the custom paper/ribbon combinations picked out.
We use high quality stuff that looks GREAT. Our wrapping work will be professional and well done.
We aim to finish what has been dropped off during the same wrapping session time. We offer alternate drop-off and pick up times.
We'll have hot cocoa and some Christmas movies playing if people want to stick around... it's going to be a fun atmosphere!
Youth and Parents:
Students volunteer to be present at/work on the fundraiser day(s). Your total fundraising credit will depend on how much we make IN TOTAL of the three wrapping days AND how many hours you yourself put in! Talking it up will benefit the group AND YOU!!
There are quite a few responsibilities, not everyone will be needed to physically wrap the gifts. Building and organizing boxes and supplies, operating the check-in of gifts and ordering, etc., greeting and talking with customers and some other opportunities as needed!! So if you're not "into" wrapping, please don't write off this fundraiser, we still need your presence!
We'll spend a good deal of time training and prepping people, particularly on December 7. We'll show you how to wrap our way, and we'll work hard together to provide REALLY NICE final products for our donors.
December 14 we'll have many people from the church here for a Christmas Fellowship Meal. The most help is anticipated to be needed this night! It will also be one that will require us to work a little faster/sharper, so if you can ONLY make this night, please get with me before so you can be prepped!!
