NEWS! Jen celebrated her birthday, which is on Samhain, with a wonderful and much needed vacation in Oaxaca Mexico for the Dia de los Muertos - Day of the Dead!
We spent time amongst the Zapotec ruins, enjoyed the colorful festivities, music and parades, and visited the oldest Tree - El Tule - over 2,000 years old - such a special awe inspiring tree, the largest we have ever seen!
Jen started a new egg tempera painting of Olwen inspired by the flowers we saw everywhere on altars, in the streets... The folk art and ancient culture of Oaxaca was truly inspiring!

There to the prince's surprise, in a sunlit clearing, was the beautiful maiden Melangell, quietly praying as she faced the baying hounds.... The hare had taken refuge amongst her skirts.... |
