Now that we are comfortable with the routine of preschool, we've started some fun academics. In August, we began learning about how God created the Earth and everything in it! This month, we'll plant vegetables in the preschool garden. It'll be exciting to watch them grow! The second and third week of September are dedicated to learning about Noah and the great flood. We'll read about the animals boarding the arc two by two and count our friends, our eyes, our ears, by 2s! We'll learn that Noah had to obey God and apply the idea of obeying to our own lives.
The homework calendars will go home in cubbies again this month. These activities will help reinforce the skills that the students are learning in class. The one on one time that it provides families is so precious and it's also great practice for when students have homework in elementary school! Bring it in to the preschool office at the end of the month for a small prize!
Teachers are finishing the beginning of the year assessments and will have conferences this month. Please sign up for a time that will work for you and let your classroom teacher know if you have any specific questions before the conference. Look for a link in your teacher's newsletter to sign up through SignUpGenius.
