Season's greetings! It's been another amazing year for our Gilda's Club Community. While we are still a young and growing organization, we've been able to carry out our mission - to ensure no one faces cancer alone - thanks to our members, volunteers, staff, medical providers, business partners and donors.
That's because at GCTC, we know that we are all stronger when we support each other as a community.
Happy holidays! We are now distributing our bimonthly program calendar not only to our members and program partners, but to the wider Gilda's Club community the GildaGram. All of the program offerings on the calendar are available to Gilda's Club members; if you're not a member, check out the educational offerings, which are open to the public. See something of interest? Register early to attend. (GCTC members: you'll now receive program calendars in the GildaGram, every other month.)
The LISTEN Project: One Performer's Perspective
> Bev Bachel
I first heard about the LISTEN Project from Gilda's Club Program Director Ali DeCamillis. She told me that one night, after going to bed exhausted from a week of facilitating support groups, she dreamt of Gilda's Club members sharing their stories outside the clubhouse walls through movement, music and voice.
Life is for living ... even when you're living with cancer.
> Anna and Steve Ashcroft
You may have read our holiday appeal featuring Steve and Anna Ashcroft and how they found needed support of people who really understand what it's like to deal with cancer. Sadly, our community learned that Steve passed away on December 14. After Steve's passing, Anna shared how much Gilda's Club has done for the Ashcroft family and wants to continue supporting our mission. Anna, thank you for your support.
