INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT | Azelaic Acid
Azelaic acid is effective for a number of inflammatory skin conditions when applied topically. It's available by prescription and in lower strengths in over-the-counter products. For the most part, azelaic acid is recommended as a tyrosinase inhibitor to reduce pigmentation, but it is also used as an option for acne treatment.
Azelaic acid is a component of grains such as wheat, rye, and barley.
