  • The Wilton Holiday Stroll is this Friday, Dec. 6 from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Visit the library to enjoy some refreshments, warm up beside the cozy fireplace and view the amazing gingerbread house creations. While you are here, take an 'ornament' from our Giving Tree, purchase some Giving Gelt, and peruse the Holiday Book Sale and the art exhibition for holiday gift giving. There is something for everyone!

A Worldwide Day of Giving held on Tuesday, December 3
You have literally blown us away. Your generosity helped us to surpass our goal and raise just over $10,000! How Sweet It Is In Wilton -- Gingerbread House Contest Creations Now on Display
Vote for your favorite until December 16; on display through December 22 
It's a gingerbread takeover at Wilton Library! The response to the community gingerbread contest has been terrific. We encourage all to visit the library to appreciate the talent, creativity and holiday spirit of the community in replicating the past, present and future of favorite town buildings, houses and landmarks. Be sure to vote for your favorite. Winning submissions including the Community Favorite will be awarded Wilton Chamber gift certificates courtesy of Fairfield County Bank. Winners announced on December 18 at 4pm. 
Wilton Library Readers-Book-to-Movie: Short Cuts by Raymond Carver
Wednesday, December 11 from 12-2:30pm
Professional book discussion leader Susan Boyar discusses Short Cuts by Raymond Carver, followed by a showing of the movie. Bring lunch; beverages will be provided. WLA/SCORE: Creating an Effective Elevator Speech

SCORE of Fairfield County, Wilton Library, and the Wilton Chamber of Commerce present a seminar that will help you develop an effective "elevator speech" to complement your marketing program and enhance your business opportunities. Presenter Peter Engstrom will show you how to test the viability of your business idea before going all in. Holiday Book Sale

The Holiday Book Sale in the gallery is a seasonal delight where bargains can be found - featuring a large array of pristine books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks suitable for gift-giving to all ages. The sale includes a diverse collection of classical, jazz, Latin and blues CDs. All CDs are priced to sell, many are new shrink-wrapped items. All merchandise is perfect for holiday gift-giving. As items are sold, new ones appear daily. 100% of sales support  the library.  More info

Wilton Library is pleased to kick off Dave Brubeck's centennial year with "The Brubecks Play Brubeck" when Darius, Chris and Dan Brubeck will be joined by special guest Dave O'Higgins. The group has generously offered to play two sets: at 6pm and at 8pm. See the registration link for more details. Light Up Snowflake Aprons

Light up a chef's apron for the winter! We have blue aprons already embroidered with snowflakes and are ready to transform into a light-up wearable. You'll learn how to sew on LED circuits and then go home with a one-of-a kind apron! Keep for yourself or give as a gift. $15 materials fee payable in advance. For adults 18+.  More info & register
