  • The Wilton Holiday Stroll is this Friday, Dec. 7 from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Visit the library to enjoy some refreshments, warm up beside the cozy fireplace and view the amazing gingerbread house creations. While you are here, take an 'ornament' from our Giving Tree, purchase some Giving Gelt, and peruse the Holiday Book Sale and the art exhibition for holiday gift giving. There is something for everyone!

How Sweet It Is In Wilton -- Gingerbread House Contest Creations  Now on Display  
Vote until Dec. 18 @12pm; on display through January 2
It's a gingerbread takeover at Wilton Library! The response to the community gingerbread contest has been overwhelming. We encourage all to visit the library to appreciate the talent, creativity and holiday spirit of the community in replicating favorite town buildings, houses and landmarks in such a delicious fashion. More than 30 creations on display. Be sure to vote for your favorite. Winners announced at 4pm on Dec. 19. 
Wilton Library Readers: Story & Movie, The Bear Came Over the Mountain
Wednesday, December 12 @12pm
Join us for a special gathering of Wilton Library Readers! Professional book discussion leader Susan Boyar will discuss The Bear Came Over the Mountain, a short story by Alice Munro originally published in The New Yorker in 1999. After the discussion, we'll watch the film adaptation, Away From Her, starring Julie Christie, Gordon Pinsent and Olympia Dukakis. Bring lunch; beverages will be provided. Cooking or Baking for the Holidays? Check out A to Z World Food Database
Learn to make classic dishes and holiday favorites from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe with A to Z World Food. This new digital cookbook includes recipes from 174 countries, as well as dining etiquette, ingredient glossaries, and beverage suggestions. A to Z World Food can be found on our homepage under the green "Popular Resources" tab and is accessible with your Wilton Library card.
Marbleized and Glitter Ornaments
Two session offered: Tuesday, Dec. 11 @6pm OR Thursday, Dec. 13 @1pm 
Swing by the Innovation Station and create two unique ornaments: one marbleized and one with glitter. They make great gifts or keepsakes! For ages 18+. $5 per two, payable upon arrival. Two sessions are offered; please click the dates above to register for your preferred session. 
CT Poetry Society Workshop 
Saturday, December 15 @2pm
Please join us for a workshop of the CT Poetry Society. All that's required is the willingness to share some poetry that you have written by reading it aloud to the group. To facilitate discussion, space is  limited to 15 attendees. More info & register.

Need tech help? Girl Scout Troop 51010 is here! Stop by with your laptop or mobile device for assistance with technology questions of any size. No appointments necessary; just drop in. If you're looking for assistance with your email or the library's databases, please bring your library card and passwords.
