Girl Power in the New Year

The girls are back!
For years, girls and parents have been telling us that the Girl Power summer camps were too short! We heard you, and launched an after school program last October. They're learning about gender, friendship and conflict, which you can read more about on the blog!
The program starts up again on January 5th from 3:30pm-5:30pm. This is a free, drop-in program for girls 10-13 years old.
If you're interested in signing up, please contact Sarah at 403-264-1155 or sarah@womenscentrecalgary.org.

Have Questions About Immigration?
The Women's Centre is busy recruiting volunteer lawyers for a new series of one-on-one Legal Advice Clinics on immigration issues. The program is set to launch in April. Contact Linda at linda@womenscentrecalgary.org
with any questions or to volunteer.

Toy Room Wrap-Up

Thanks to amazing volunteers and donors, 1498 women and 3098 children received gifts for the holidays this year. That's a 38% increase from 2014! We have photos and a wrap-up blog online.
We could not have done this without your help! Thank you so much.
Crosswalk Stories

Have any stories about the crosswalk at Meredith Road and 4th Street? We want to hear from you!
We have heard from many women who have had dangerous experiences at this crosswalk and are now trying to collect those stories. Please email Sarah at sarah@womenscentrecalgary.org with your story, or call her at 403-264-1155.
