Girl Scouts at The Wilson House

The President Woodrow Wilson House, a proud Girl Scouts Program Partner, invites Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes to play the past, relive history, explore democracy and our civil liberties and ideals that unite us as Americans, and have fun in a perfectly preserved time capsule from the 1920s. Sign up your Girl Scout or your Girl Scout Troop for one of our Scheduled Events the 2nd Saturday of every month beginning March, or schedule your Troop's private event!

Wreath Laying at National Cathedral for President Wilson's Birthday

Each year, a U.S. military general or naval flag officer lays a wreath at the gravesite of each deceased former U.S. president on his birthday. Due to the pandemic, the wreath-laying ceremony for President Wilson on December 28th, 2021 was closed to the public. We thank the staff at Washington National Cathedral for sending along this photo of the wreath laying.

We are excited to welcome Isaac Cosby Hunt, III as our newest Advisory Chair. Cosby has served on the Wilson House Advisory Council since 2018, after collaborating on our 15th Point Project. His work with Inspired Teaching has assisted in expanding our Scholars Program to high school students. We look forward to Cosby's continued vision and dedication to The Wilson House.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Garrett Peck, who will be leaving his post as Advisory Chair. During his time with The Wilson House, Garrett was a trusted advisor and led by example. This year alone he served as a mentor to our scholars, presented in our Tuesday Speaker Series, and wrote our Prohibition Tour which will debut this Spring, among other important and creative contributions. We wish him the very best in his move to Santa Fe and all his future endeavors and thank him for the mark he has made on The Wilson House.
