Albany Power Girls Summer 2022 Tryouts
Dear Parents,
Albany Power is happy to announce tryouts for the 2022 Summer Program. The 2022 Power program will operate under a hybrid club model... promoting full year programs for competitive athletes that maintains respect for the sanctity of scholastic sports.
We believe that this model will provide the right amount of practice, competition, and rest to allow players and programs in Section II to grow while also maintaining strong relationships with school sports, promoting life-long friendships and player skill that can be showcased at the highest level of high school and college lacrosse.
For 11 years, Albany Power Girls has provided players in The Capital Region with this highest level of instruction and support, and we are excited for the opportunity to work with your daughter this year!
2022 Summer Tryout- Grad Years 2023-2029
Tryouts will be held on Sunday, 8/22 and Sunday, 8/29
Sunday, 8/22 and 8/29 from 3:00-7:00PM at Afrim's Sports Park- 969 Watervliet Shaker Rd
Colonie, NY 12205
2026-2029: 3:00PM-5:00PM on field 1 and 2
2023-2025: 5:00PM-7:00PM on field 1 and 2
*We encourage players to attend both tryouts, providing our coaching staff of teachers and coaches, along with former standout players from all across college lacrosse, the best opportunity to evaluate your daughter.
In the event that you cannot attend either tryout, please use the registration form to let us know that you will not be in attendance.
*Tryout cost is $80, payable by check or cash on 8/22
The cost of the summer program will be tiered for players.
2023-2027: $1,400
2028-2029: $990
There may be an additional cost for 2023 & 2024 to enroll in the Sport Recruit Platform- includes film upload opportunities, college coach access
2021 Fall and Winter Sessions
Winter Sessions this year will be open only to players rostered on Albany Power Summer 2022 Teams and 2022 Graduating Seniors.


Fall 2021- Fall 2021- Sunday evening practices at Schenectady High School on 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, Monday 10/11, 10/17, 10/24. The program cost is $295.
These sessions have been specifically scheduled to avoid scholastic sports. Players will participate in a combination of practice and training model experiences that will optimize player skill through repetition and specific skills training. We will only schedule one tournament in late fall, out of respect for the high school fall sports schedule established by Section II head coaches.
*This Fall tournament will be an additional fee & rosters will be capped; first-come first-served.

Winter Sessions this year will be open only to players rostered on Albany Power Summer 2022 Teams and 2022 Graduating Seniors.

2022 Summer Tournaments
High School Divisions
High school players will compete at some of the best tournaments on the East Coast. We intentionally schedule three tournaments per team to allow for student-athletes the flexibility to explore other avenues over the course of their summers- showcases, camps, other sports/activities.

High School Players: 
2023- NE Cup (to be confirmed), The Grind, The Rise
2024- NE Cup (to be confirmed), The Grind, The Rise
2025- NE Cup (to be confirmed), The Grind, The Rise

Middle School Players: 
2026- The Rise, Summer Sizzle, Xtreme
2027- Northstar Capital City, Summer Sizzle, Xtreme
2028- Northstar Capital City, Summer Sizzle, Xtreme

Youth Players: 
2029- Northstar Capital City, Summer Sizzle, Xtreme
