Girls Inc. coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Just because schools and community centers remain closed doesn't mean our staff aren't hard at work finding creative ways to support the girls we serve! Our staff are continuing to provide support to our girls virtually through weekly online program check-ins and new digital content. Visit our Learning with Girls Inc. YouTube channel for fun activities and entertaining videos designed to engage youth at home.

Staff Shout-out!
We are excited to announce that Cherice Arrington and Brionna Pendleton have received the Visionary Leadership Award from the Valentine Foundation. These emerging leaders have demonstrated their commitment to helping girls in our region achieve their full potential and will be attending the Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute’s Ascending Leadership Program at Bryn Mawr College. Advocacy Corner: Ways to support your community in the face of COVID-19
Looking for a way to provide support to your community in its time of need? The COVID-19 Relief Bill- the CARES Act- creates a new above-the-line deduction for total charitable contributions up to $300. This allows taxpayers to deduct up to $300 of their cash donations from their adjusted gross incomes without itemizing deductions. A donation of any amount can help us to continue engaging girls during this uncertain time.
