Giving Students the Tools they Need

School is back in session, and we are excited to kick off Girls Inc. programs in September. We are looking forward to another year of growth as we welcome two new elementary school partners in the South Los Angeles/Watts community: 99th Street Elementary and 95th Street Elementary.

To celebrate the back-to-school season, we partnered with APM Terminals- Los Angeles to provide 520 students with school supplies! We are grateful for our supporters, who generously support our work and allow us to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

Creating Keychains

with Deckers

To help us with recruitment this month, our friends at Deckers hosted a keychain-making activity during recess. All students were invited to join us and learn about Girls Inc.

Thank you to the Deckers volunteers who joined us to make this event possible and helped us build community on campus!

Become a

Girls Inc. Volunteer

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to join us after school this fall! The commitment is two to three hours a day, once or twice a week, at one of our partner schools in South LA/Watts or Venice.

Volunteers support our Program Facilitators during Girls Inc. programming by facilitating activities and helping to build a positive and encouraging environment for our girls.

On Thursday, September 26 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, stop by the Velvet By Graham & Spencer store in Larchmont and support Girls Inc. LA with your purchase!

Light bites and bubbly will be available and you will be able to experience a special whiskey tasting from Lodestar Whiskey, a women-owned and operated spirits brand based in Los Angeles.

Throughout the day, when you shop and mention Girls Inc., they will donate 15% of sales proceeds from your purchase to support our mission!
