Fueling Curiosity Through Exploration

This year has been full of incredible moments for our girls. With your support, we hosted field trips throughout the year, including a Career Exploration Field Trip series during the summer for a total of fourteen field trips!

Girls participated in unique experiences, visiting science and art museums, learning how jeans are made, exploring the behind-the-scenes of a television studio and theater, surfing, meeting leaders and entrepreneurs. These opportunities allowed girls to envision themselves as designers, engineers, artists, scientists, athletes, performers and leaders.

We're proud to share that last school year 90% of Girls Inc. girls agreed that Girls Inc. is fun and engaging. One Girls Inc. girl shared, "Next year I hope Girls Inc. can be sponsored by many more other amazing people. And I hope that we get to have many more field trips."

PROGRAMMING

Board Members Experience Girls Inc. Programming



Our board members stepped into the classroom and joined us for an immersive afternoon of programming led by our girls at Marina Del Rey Middle School.

They split into two groups and were guided to build a bridge or a self-portrait. It was an incredible day where our girls and board members engaged in meaningful conversations and connected on a deeper level.

The day reminded us of the importance of collaboration and mutual learning. A heartfelt thank you to our board members for their unwavering support and commitment to the next generation of leaders!

First Semester Wrap-Up

Last week, we concluded our Strong Unit, which focused on building community, teamwork, and taking care of our minds and bodies.

We had holiday parties at all our schools to celebrate the end of the year. As a treat our elementary girls received a special gift and custom cookies from our friends at Summer Fridays.

When programming resumes in January, we'll get into our Smart Unit and focus on STEAM. Girls will get to experiment, problem-solve and build resilience in a supportive environment.
