Our hearts are with Los Angeles

As a Los Angeles-based organization, dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders, we are deeply moved by the strength and resilience of our community in response to the devastating fires.

We have seen the power of individuals coming together- advocating for one another, showing kindness and offering support. These are the very qualities that we strive to instill in our girls as we prepare them to become leaders and changemakers.

While our staff and girls were not in the areas impacted by the fires, we know that many of our supporters, friends and families have been affected. The full impact of this disaster is still unfolding and we know that communities already facing challenges will be at a greater disadvantage.

At Girls Inc. we remain focused on doing our part to provide the resources, mentorship and opportunities for all girls to thrive. Your support at all levels will be needed to ensure that we can continue our work. Thank you for standing with us and with Los Angeles.

PROGRAMMING

Dancing with

CultureShock NGO



Our girls at 99th Street Elementary School immersed themselves in dance with CultureShock NGO.

Learning a dance routine within one hour proved to be no match for our girls who quickly learned the steps. We ended the day with an incredible performance.

When asked why they enjoy dancing girls shared that they can destress and express themselves. One girl stated, "I feel like a star."

Together, with community partners like CultureShock NGO, we are fostering a supportive environment for growth, self-expression and confidence building.

This National Mentoring Month, we invite you to join us in making a lasting impact in the lives of girls across Los Angeles.

We are looking for volunteers to spend an afternoon a week during the school year at a school in South Los Angeles.

Benefit 2025

Our 4th Annual LA Girls Rise Benefit is set to take place on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at the iconic Paramount Studios.

This event brings together 400+ individuals that are helping generate funds that allow us to reach more than 1000 girls across Los Angeles. Funds raised support the work Girls Inc. does to foster leadership, confidence and community amongst the girls we serve.
