The Girls Inc. Team is Growing

We are thrilled to welcome our new Program Facilitators Amelia Pelaez and Aubriana Lopez (above as listed) to our Girls Inc. of Los Angeles team!

See what excites them about joining Girls Inc. LA:

  • Amelia believes that "programs like these provide equitable resources to girls who deserve a chance to shine" and says "Girls Inc. is a dream job of mine."

  • Aubriana says, "I'm most excited for the opportunity to empower girls to reach their full potential...and can't wait to further connect with the girls."

This fall, each will lead Girls Inc. programs at partner elementary schools, building a community of strong, smart and bold girls. Their addition to the team means that we will be able to reach more girls. Join us in welcoming them!

SUMMER PROGRAMMING

FP Movement Empowers

Girls Through Dance

This summer, our friends at FP Movement partnered with dance instructor Christina Moffitino to get us moving and grooving.

The girls excitedly learned and practiced a fast-paced dance routine in under 30 minutes! We are proud to partner with FP Movement to provide fun opportunities for girls to build their confidence and express themselves through movement.

Our Partnership

Visiting the Iconic

Belasco Theater

As part of our career exploration field trip series, Live Nation Women hosted a special visit to the Belasco Theater.

We got a glimpse behind the scenes including the green rooms and learned all about light and sound production. The women who bring the shows to life connected with our girls and shared their roles in live entertainment and gave advice on how to get started in the industry.

A Day with Summer Fridays

Our next field trip was to Summer Fridays where we toured their offices and met a diverse panel where the girls learned about the science of creating and making skin care products.

A highlight was meeting the amazing founders, Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland, who shared how following their passion led to the creation of Summer Fridays.

Showtime at Fremantle

Finally, we stepped into the world of entertainment with a field trip to the Fremantle studio and offices.

We visited the set and witnessed all the technical work that went into the live taping of Let's Make A Deal. As a special surprise, we had the chance to meet the show's host, Wayne Brady!

The day ended with an insightful panel of Fremantle's women professionals. They talked about their career in the entertainment industry and provided their perspectives on how to navigate the professional world.
