You are cordially invited to Girls Play Trumpets Too debut performance on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Cafe' Istanbul (2372 St. Claude Ave.) from 3p-5p. The young ladies have been consistently practicing to prepare for this moment, which will be historical because female trumpet players have been "hidden figures" for too long and we are here to change that narrative.
We hope that you can attend to give these young ladies some support as they change the world one note at a time. Emily Mikesell (Trumpeter), Sha'Condria "iCon" Sibley (Poet), and Felice Gee (DJ) will be our special guest to make the debut event extra special. We will have food provided by Beaucoup Eats and Harvest. JuneMagnolia will serve some delicious kombucha drinks and AscentBlends will serve some tasty healthy smoothies.
