Travel Tournament Success
Congrats to the both of the U15 FCR Magic and Mystx teams for their efforts and success at the Desert Classic Soccer Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona.  The boys won all 4 games including winning 2-1 in the final against MetaSport FC from Utah.  The girls' round robin format had them on top of their division after 4 games where they won 3 and tied 1.
Congrats to the U13 FCR Mystx and Magic on their results at the Largo March Madness Soccer Tournament in Clearwater, FL. The girls won all 4 games and took home the championship trophy. The boys had 2 wins and 2 losses including losing in the final 0-3. The teams had a chance to go to the Clearwater Aquarium and see the sights which included the Dolphin, Winter, who was the star of the Movie "Dolphin Tale." We also got a chance to swim at Clearwater Beach! A good time was had by all.
Used Soccer Equipment Drive
FC Richmond will be hosting a Used Soccer Equipment Drive, March 16-23. As you are spring cleaning and come across gently used soccer equipment your child can no longer use, please bring items to one of our three collection bins located at Robious Middle, Greenfield and Huguenot Park beside the storage sheds. We are collecting the following gently used items: cleats, soccer balls, shorts, socks, goalie jersey/gloves/pants and bags. Thank you for helping all kids have the equipment they need to play!
Soccer Clinics & Training Opportunities
Total Soccer Training (TST) is a supplemental training program designed to help players reach their full potential. TST offers small group training and one-on-one training. TST training options and pricing structure have been improved to offer more options while saving money! TST group training prices have been lowered, and players can sign up with their OWN group if they would like to train with friends, teammates, etc. For more information click HERE .
Non-Stop Soccer's School's Out Clinics take place on public school holidays throughout the year. Our main emphasis will be on ball skills, small-sided games, and having FUN! Take advantage of the day off from school and join us in healthy play. This camp is open to recreational and travel team players ages 6-14.
Spring School's Out Clinics: March 8th and April 19th
9:00am - 3:00pm indoors at the Midlothian Athletic Club (MAC)

"Beyond the Game" Player Spotlight
Jackson Cherry and Evan Gaines
Jackson Cherry and Evan Gaines, both U-14 Magic players, are going “Beyond the Game” by shaving their heads to raise money for pediatric cancer at the Church Hill Irish Festival on March 23rd. These two support the “Team Lauren Cherry Hero Fund” which is part of the Saint Baldrick’s Foundation. Jackson wishes to raise money for his younger sister Lauren, who has bravely battled a rare brain tumor twice. Evan wanted to support his teammate’s younger sister, as well as a family friend named Cameron who lost his battle to pediatric cancer at age 10. Jackson and Evan are willing to do whatever it takes to raise money for childhood cancer research and find a cure for cancer as a whole. The two will go “Beyond the Game” this month with their selfless act. Childhood cancer research is significantly underfunded, so every donation counts. Let’s support these two young men by donating to their fund HERE (all money goes to help those fighting childhood cancer). Great job Jackson and Evan!

Junior Board of Directors
Did you know our Junior Board of Directors helps FCR go "Beyond the Game" by making a difference in our club and community? Our Junior Board is busy working on interviews and articles for our newsletter, updating our social media platforms, strengthening alumni relations, organizing a family festival this spring, and planning community outreach events including: Hearts for Soldiers and the Used Soccer Equipment Drive. Thank you for your hard work so far this year!
Celebrating our Seniors
We had a great time celebrating our Magic and Mystx senior players at Uptown Alley earlier this month. This outstanding group is moving on to college in the fall. We appreciate all the years of dedication to FC Richmond and hope that we have helped prepare them for a successful college career!
Staying Connected with our Alumni
Our FC Richmond Alumni are important to us and we would like to stay connected! Please share this link with your friends and family members who have "graduated" from the club. They can complete this brief  FORM  to stay in the know of alumni events, games, and other club activities & news.
Sponsorships for our FCR Family Festival
FC Richmond is planning a Family Festival on May 19th and we are looking for sponsors! This will be a fun community event for our families and players to enjoy time together with their teams, food trucks, inflatables and games! We are looking for the support of local sponsors for the festival. If you own a small business and would like to see your logo on festival signage, emails, social media and our newsletter, please reach out to Lynne Ellis at [email protected]
