Bang Bang You're Dead + Eric Larue: Seattle Magazine and the local Seattle PBS affiliate, KCTS have both crafted stories featuring Bang Bang You're Dead + Eric Larue and their timeliness to the events going on in the United States today revolving around gun control. These two plays are being produced to honor those affected by gun violence, in particular school shootings. Please support our BHS Drama department as they venture into some of the most emotionally difficult subject matter ever presented on the BHS stage. The shows open on May 9 and will run the 10 th , 11 th , 16 th , 17 th , and 18 th . Curtain is at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased online at showtix4U.com and at the door each evening of the plays.

BPA General Meeting: You won’t want to miss the last BPA Boosters meeting of the year on Tuesday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. We will celebrate our successes over the last year, watch the Disneyland soundtrack recording, and learn about the June 1st Mattress Sale Fundraiser – you can earn BPA $5 just by showing up. This is also a mandatory meeting for all families with students going on the Orchestra and Choir trip to Vancouver B.C.

Jazz for Everyone: Congratulations to Jazz I for their first place win at the Bellevue Jazz last Saturday. They competed against 8 bands to make it to the finals portion. That evening Ballard achieved a competitive win over Auburn Mountain View High School and Interlake High School. See Jazz I perform next at Jazz Alley with Jazz II and Vocal Jazz on May 28th. Mattress Fundraiser
Saturday, June 1st is our 2nd annual Mattress Fundraiser. This our easiest fundraiser ever. Last year we raised over $7,000 with little effort. 100% of the money raised goes to support our performing arts program. 100% of the money raised goes to support our performing arts program.

Final Vancouver Trip Details:

Spring Concert Concerto: Our annual tradition continues with the concerto portion of the Spring Orchestra Concert on June 5th. This concert highlights 3 students as soloists in their chosen piece of music. If you are a member of the wind or percussion for these pieces you need to attend the mandatory rehearsal. '19/'20 Audition Update: Auditions for the 2019/20 school year will be June 17th in class and June 18th and 19th after school. More info and music selections will posted on the BPA website.
