Give Big Today and Tomorrow

Unity and Community. That’s the goal this year, and it’s been harder than ever with everyone behind a screen.
We know that this year we haven’t gotten to hear as much of that lovely music. We haven’t gotten to see the camaraderie our students have with one another. We missed a bit of that joy. And while it’s not been our favourite experience, let’s keep on keeping on.
Help us prepare for next year; for camp, for trips, and for scholarships so that every single student gets to be a part of our amazing performing arts community. The friendships and community our students create is one of the defining aspects of their high school career.
There are two ways we can have a successful drive. First, please make a gift to support the BPA program:
|
|
Second, share our BPA page on your socials – getting the word out on Facebook and Twitter. It’s a great way to easily get the word out to a broader community.

Spring Awakening Tickets on Sale
|
|
The nature of all teenagers is to question their parents. Back in 1890’s Germany, things were no different. Spring Awakening follows three teenagers in a small village who experience the dawn of their own sexuality. They inevitably awaken to both joy and pain, with little direction from the adults around them.
The original play from 1891 was so scandalous for addressing sex violence and suicide that it was not staged until 1906. This contemporary production was first staged on Broadway in 2006, with a rock soundtrack by Duncan Sheik.
The cast features 21 BHS students and the play is directed by Shawn M. Riley
Performance Details
The performances will be live-streamed on May 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, and begin at 7:30 pm.
Tickets are $25 and you will be sent a link to watch it on the evening you select.

Register for the 2021 All-City Band
Registration is now open for the 2021 All-City Band. This is a wonderful all-school summer marching band that, under normal circumstances, rehearses four days a week in the evenings at Memorial Stadium and performs at neighborhood and community parades, especially those related to Seafair. This summer will be a shorter program and they will be doing a field show rather than parades.
Membership will be open to students in the graduating classes of 2020-2025.
