November 2020
Government Corner
Happy November, Spartans!

November started off with the Presidential Elections, with our voices heard by casting our votes and/or participating in discussions surrounding the political state of our country. Associated Students just concluded a three-day Decompression Space that offered a virtual platform for students to celebrate, grieve, vent or simply enjoy activities to destress from elections.

Thank you to all Spartans who became new voters. SJSU came in 4th place amongst 23 campuses in the CSU Ballot Bowl, with 1613 new registered voters. Congratulations!

The A.S. Board welcomes our new Director of Business Affairs, Kylee Kim! We are excited to see what she does in her role. The new Students’ Election Commission (SEC) Chief Election Officer is Vivian Luc. She and the soon-to-be-completed SEC team will plan and implement the upcoming A.S. Election in Spring 2021.
