Greetings!
"The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Perpetual Sacrifice, is the greatest of all suffrage for the holy souls." - Council of Trent
Lent is a time when we focus on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. One often-overlooked opportunity is praying and fasting for our deceased loved ones.
It is also a good time to give them the greatest gift of prayer, Holy Mass.
Through our longstanding relationship with Monsignor Matthew Odong, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Gulu in Northern Uganda, we would like to make this blessed opportunity available to you and your loved ones.
Msgr. Matthew will personally arrange for Gregorian Masses and/or single Masses to be offered by priests in the Archdiocese of Gulu. What a grace for the souls of our dearest loved ones both living and deceased!
To find out more or to participate in this opportunity of mercy during the Lenten and Easter season, just go to this Mass Page. If you are unfamiliar with the concept of the Gregorian Masses, a more detailed description is offered there.
Given the difficulty in procuring Masses at the parish level and the almost non-existent opportunity for Gregorian Masses to be celebrated in our parishes, this opportunity is a treasured gift for all of us.
According to our friend Susan Tassone, aka The Purgatory Lady, after Christmas, the second greatest number of souls are released at Easter. Let us keep them in mind in our prayers and sacrifices throughout this beautiful season. Please consider having a mass offered on their behalf. Imagine how grateful they will be!
Thank you for your consideration. May the abundant life of Jesus Christ be yours and may God bless you!
I faithfully remain,
Your sister in Christ,
