Holidays in Oregon deserve local products like wine, gifts and Christmas trees
Having Oregon wine at the Thanksgiving table is always important but did you know many of the local vineyards and wineries are open during November and December for specials and events the whole family will be impressed by? This year, the Thanksgiving winery experience is going to look a little different. Instead of special events happening the weekend of Thanksgiving, vineyards and wineries are creating a month-long experience in order to limit crowds and maintain social distance. This means more time for you to enjoy all the wonderful Oregon wine and experiences! Below is a list of Oregon Farm Loop wine producers who will add extra cheer to your holiday season and make sure to bring your mask!
  • Christopher Bridge Wines - Open Fridays-Sundays with a spectacular vineyard view and delicious wine.
  • King's Raven Winery - Enjoy new fall releases and fabulous views! Reservations available but not required for outdoor seating, indoor seating requires reservations.
  • Villa Catalana Cellars - On Saturdays and Sundays, take in the stunning vistas and surrounding area while sipping delicious wine. Outdoor seating and reservations.

  • Pete's Mountain Vineyard and Winery - Open Sundays for the perfect Willamette Valley views and delicious vineyard offerings. Reservations required.
  • Terra Vina Wines - Join them for pre-Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving weekend as they pour the delicious big reds you love: Cab Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese & sparkling wines just in time for the holidays! Small plate options available for purchase. Reservations required, visit their website for more info.

  • Forest Edge Vineyard - On Saturdays and Sundays sample award-winning table and desert wines that are delicious, refreshing and affordable. Their having a holiday stock up sale November 22 from 12-5. 10% off 6 or more bottles, 20% off 12 or more, mixed cases. 
  • Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm and Vineyard- 2016 Tempranillo is $10 off a bottle for the month of November! A perfect red for the holidays. Gift boxes available!

  • Honeywood Winery - Open daily for flights, wine purchases and lovely gift items conveniently located in Salem. Curbside pickup is available.
  • Lady Hill Winery - Enjoy the beautiful and relaxing farm scenery 7 days a week for tastings and bottle purchases. Space for private events. Please call ahead for reservations and visit their website for more info and list of events.
  • Pudding River Wine Cellars - Open Wednesday-Sunday, the beautiful countryside and barn is a must see! Indoor and outdoor seating available, call for reservations.
  • Scenic Valley Farms - Spend Sundays on this family farm sipping wine and viewing the antique tractor collection. Tastings take place on the patio, reservations are not required but appreciated.
  • Vitis Ridge Winery - Open Saturdays and Sundays for tastings and purchase of award-winning wine outside the charming town of Silverton.
  • Willamette Valley Vineyards - Look out over breathtaking valley views while enjoying a tasting or a glass with food pairing. Indoor and outdoor seating, reservations are highly encouraged.
*Please call farms and wineries ahead of your visit, view their website or check their Facebook pages for updates related to hours and COVID-19 guidelines. It's recommended you bring warm clothes in the case of outdoor seating or having to wait at the door. Face coverings are required for adults and children 5 and up in all indoor spaces and outdoors where a 6 foot social distance cannot be maintained. Face coverings may be required at all times, even outdoors.

Holiday Drive-Up Market
November 14-15, 11 am to 4 pm

The second annual market is going to be a great experience featuring Oregon made products! This year, it has been moved outside for a COVID safe event. Holiday decor, bath & spa, raw honey, lavender vodka, plants & greenery, and bourbon maple syrup are just a few items available. More info here
November-December

Since their traditional holiday market event at the fairgrounds had to be cancelled, they are doing a number of events throughout November and December. Special Thanksgiving Market
November 22, 9:30 am to 2 pm

Although their regular season ended, the one-day special Thanksgiving Market on the 22 is a must-visit! Stock up on all the holiday necessities and feature locally grown products at your Thanksgiving table. More info here
Annual Holiday Open House
November 20-21

So many great gifts and decor in one place! Spend $50 or more and receive a goodie bag filled with adorable treasures. Bring a new unwrapped toy or 2 or more non-perishable food items and receive 20% off your entire purchase. More info here
Get all your wonderful lavender products right from the farm, great for yourself or as gifts! At this time, they are only open for advanced appointments to pick up plant and product orders Thursdays-Saturdays, November 5-28. The perfect Oregon holiday treat! This family farm has been doing hazelnuts right for generations. Whether you are looking for plain, roasted or chocolate covered, Ken and June's is the place to go. Hazelnuts are great as a gift, for an office party, holiday dinner, or just everyday snacking. Now they are offering espresso & fresh pastries, local honey, collection of gift boxes, walnuts, and trailmix. Christmas wreaths starting late November.
Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is offering gift boxes for the holidays! Order online through their website, pick one up in the wine room or build your own online. Whether it’s Wooden Shoe Vineyard Wine, gift passes for the spring tulip festival or swag items from the gift shop, they have unique gifts available for everyone on your list.
'Tis the season for local, Oregon Christmas trees
A fresh cut, Oregon Christmas trees is something to celebrate. Nothing says November is here quite like the hustle and bustle of tree farms. On the Oregon Farm Loop, the below farms are willing to help you and your family find the perfect tree to make the holidays extra bright!
On the Canby Farm Loop
  • Wilco - They offer fresh cut Christmas trees in all sizes as well as wreaths, garland and other fresh greens to make the holiday season bright.
  • Frog Pond Farm - This family run farm is an amazing holiday experience for the entire family. Get your perfect tree and wreath right on the farm. There is also an animal barn full of fun animals... including a camel! The farm store is full of special gifts made from many local businesses and artists. Opening November 27.
  • Lee Farms - Tree cutting opens November 20 and they have a wonderful selection! Make sure to also pick up a delicious baked good while you are there. Visit their website for all the details, prices and hours.
  • Bauman's Farm and Garden - Make getting your Christmas tree a family event on the farm! Fresh trees, animal barn, bakery, wreaths, and lots of holiday decor. Call ahead for tree availability.
  • E.Z. Orchards Farm Market - A great selection of fresh trees, holiday greens and wreaths right outside of Salem. Get your fresh fruit, produce, gourmet foods, wine, and gifts right there on the family farm! Call ahead for tree availability.
