Holidays in Oregon deserve local products like wine, gifts and Christmas trees
Having Oregon wine at the Thanksgiving table is always important but did you know many of the local vineyards and wineries are open during November and December for specials and events the whole family will be impressed by? This year, the Thanksgiving winery experience is going to look a little different. Instead of special events happening the weekend of Thanksgiving, vineyards and wineries are creating a month-long experience in order to limit crowds and maintain social distance. This means more time for you to enjoy all the wonderful Oregon wine and experiences! Below is a list of Oregon Farm Loop wine producers who will add extra cheer to your holiday season and make sure to bring your mask!
  • Pete's Mountain Vineyard and Winery - Open Sundays for the perfect Willamette Valley views and delicious vineyard offerings. Reservations required.
  • Terra Vina Wines - Join them for pre-Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving weekend as they pour the delicious big reds you love: Cab Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese & sparkling wines just in time for the holidays! Small plate options available for purchase. Reservations highly recommended, visit their website for more info.

  • Honeywood Winery - Open daily for flights, wine purchases and lovely gift items conveniently located in Salem. Curbside pickup is available.
  • Lady Hill Winery - Enjoy the beautiful and relaxing farm scenery 7 days a week for tastings and bottle purchases. Space for private events. Please call ahead for reservations and visit their website for more info and list of events.
  • Pudding River Wine Cellars - Open Wednesday-Sunday, the beautiful countryside and barn is a must see! Indoor and outdoor seating available, call for reservations.
  • Scenic Valley Farms - Spend Sundays on this family farm sipping wine and viewing the antique tractor collection. Tastings take place on the patio, reservations are not required but appreciated.
  • Vitis Ridge Winery - Open Saturdays and Sundays for tastings and purchase of award-winning wine outside the charming town of Silverton.
  • Willamette Valley Vineyards - Look out over breathtaking valley views while enjoying a tasting or a glass with food pairing. Indoor and outdoor seating, reservations are highly encouraged.

  • Christopher Bridge Wines - Open Fridays-Sundays with a spectacular vineyard view and delicious wine.
  • Forest Edge Vineyard - On Saturdays and Sundays sample award-winning table and desert wines that are delicious, refreshing and affordable. They are doing a stock up sale November 20 & 21 in person and online November 20-December 18.
  • King's Raven Winery - Enjoy new fall releases and fabulous views! Reservations available but not required for outdoor seating, indoor seating requires reservations.
  • Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm and Vineyard- Not only do they have fantastic wine and a great wine tasting experience, this farm has a great gift shop and full spectrum hemp oil products from Red Barn Hemp.
  • Villa Catalana Cellars - On Saturdays, take in the stunning vistas and surrounding area while sipping delicious wine.

  • Abbey Road Farm - Open 7 days a week, 11a-5p. Enjoy and afternoon of wine tasting or host a private party at their beautiful event venue.
  • Durant at Red Ridge Farms - Enjoy a wine-tasting and don't forget to visit their shop and find a huge variety of holiday gift ideas, from 2019 Rosé of Pinot Noir to specialty olive oil gift sets.
  • Soter Vineyards - Tasting room reservations available 7 days a week, enjoy wine tasting and charcuterie boards with your group of up to 6 guests.
  • Yamhill Vineyards Bed and Breakfast - Book a stay in beautiful wine country and enjoy a full bed and breakfast experience, receive a tour around the vineyard, and visit nearby wineries that use their grapes for local wines.

Holiday Drive-Up Market
November 20, 10 am to 4 pm

Please join us for our Third Annual Holiday Drive-Up Market! Participating local businesses include: Double Circle Spirits, Hittarp Farm, Michele Peterson Designs, Portland Revibe and Park Place Perennials. Vendor items include Bourbon Maple Syrup, Oregon Crafted Spirits, Reclaimed Wood Signs, Home Decor, Holiday Plants & Greenery, Handmade Wreaths, Local Honey, Bath and Spa Sets, Candles & Diffusers, Antiques & Vintage Finds and Handcrafted Gifts. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Randall Children’s Hospital Family Fund. More info here.
Rug Making Class
November 14, 12-4 pm

We will be braiding a rug with rug yarn made from our alpacas. When you buy the rug yarn from us the class is free. If you bring your own rug yarn the class is $35. Each person will be working on a 6 foot table. Class is held inside the bar so dress warm. Snacks and drinks provided. You are welcome to bring your own lunch. Rug cost will be approx. $100 to $150 depending on size and if you want bamboo added with the alpaca. Call for questions & preregistration: Jennifer at 503-407-3699
Olio Nuovo Festival
November 1 to 30, 10-4p daily

Taste and purchase this season’s freshly milled Olio Nuovo (new oil) extra virgin olive oil and take a tour of the Durant Olive Mill to see how premium olive oil is made at Oregon’s only commercial olive mill.
Find holiday inspiration: natural greens for decorating/crafting, artisan-made wreaths, wine, culinary goods, gift boxes, local food, art, houseplants, holiday decor, and so much more! Local marketplace with like-minded food producers, live music, and food carts each weekend in from 10-4. More info here.
Black Friday & Small Business Saturday

Did you know they opened in 1877?!
Union Mills Feed is having a Black Friday and Small Business Saturday Sale. Check out their amazing selection of gift items, pet toys and horse tack. November 26-27. It's the perfect place to get your holiday shopping done while supporting this historic business. Check out their website here.
Special Thanksgiving Market
November 21, 9:30 am to 2 pm

Although their regular season ended, the one-day special Thanksgiving Market on the 21 is a must-visit! Stock up on all the holiday necessities and feature locally grown products at your Thanksgiving table. More info here
Sip and Shop
November 21, 12-4 pm

Shop, drink wine or just hang out! Scenic Valley Vineyards is opening for a special shopping and wine tasting experience. There will be local vendors selling their products along with fantastic wines. More info here.
It is time to think about ordering holiday pies! Blue Raeven is taking Thanksgiving orders until November 15. With over 20+ options to choose from, the hardest part is deciding! Walk ins will be available but it is first come, first served only while supplies last.

The perfect Oregon holiday treat! This family farm has been doing hazelnuts right for generations. Whether you are looking for plain, roasted or chocolate covered, Ken and June's is the place to go. Hazelnuts are great as a gift, for an office party, holiday dinner, or just everyday snacking. Offering espresso & fresh pastries, local honey, collection of gift boxes, walnuts, and trail mix. Now selling Hazelnut Oil along with some new Jams & Butter Toffee Hazelnuts. Christmas wreaths starting mid November.

'Tis the season for local, Oregon Christmas trees
A fresh cut, Oregon Christmas trees is something to celebrate. Nothing says November is here quite like the hustle and bustle of tree farms. On the Oregon Farm Loop, the below farms are willing to help you and your family find the perfect tree to make the holidays extra bright! It is recommended you get you holiday greens and trees a little earlier this year due to likely limited supply. Contact the farms for availability and hours before you go!   • Frog Pond Farm - This family run farm is an amazing holiday experience for the entire family. Get your perfect tree and wreath right on the farm. There is also an animal barn full of fun animals... including a camel! The farm store is full of special gifts made from many local businesses and artists. Opening November 19.
  • Historic Kirchem Farm - U-cut natural Christmas trees, never sprayed! Free hot chocolate and wagon rides on the weekends.
  • Lee Farms - Tree cutting opens November 19 and they have a wonderful selection! Make sure to also pick up a delicious baked good while you are there. Pie orders are open for Thanksgiving. Visit their website for all the details, prices and hours.

  • Bauman's Farm and Garden - Make getting your Christmas tree a family event on the farm! Fresh trees, animal barn, bakery, wreaths, and lots of holiday decor. Call ahead for tree availability.
  • E.Z. Orchards Farm Market - A great selection of fresh trees, holiday greens and wreaths right outside of Salem. Get your fresh fruit, produce, gourmet foods, wine, apple cider, hazelnuts, chestnuts, and gifts right there on the family farm! Call ahead for tree availability.
  • Nottinghamshire Farms - It is that time of year to think about your fresh locally made Christmas wreath! Wreaths are 10" to 48", special shapes are available . Boughs of Juniper and Noble and incense Cedar are available this year. Orders need to be in by November 15th and pick up will be November 30th at the farm from 10am - 3pm. To order click here.

  • Wilco - They offer fresh cut Christmas trees in all sizes as well as wreaths, garland and other fresh greens to make the holiday season bright.

  • Bernards Farm - Besides great local produce, they will have wreaths, greens and cut trees later in the month. Please call ahead for availability 503 472-4933.
