Greetings!
What a year it has been! From Palm Springs to Coachella and beyond, your Center has been here for our community, including celebrating the wins and supporting folks through challenging times. Here are a few highlights of our programming and recent successes that you may find helpful as you consider a year-end contribution to support our critical work for Coachella Valley's LGBTQ+ community:

  • The Scott Hines Behavioral Health Clinic offers low-cost individual, couples, family, and group therapy options to the LGBTQ community through a clinical internship program. Last year, 2,490 people accessed services, while 1,175 people attended our therapy groups, including bereavement counseling and long-term survivor's therapy.

  • Since 2008, The Community Food Bank @ The Center has provided fresh produce, baked goods, proteins, pantry items, dairy, and more to residents in need of food assistance. Open every Thursday evening, the Food Bank has seen exponentially more clients, with more than 23,524 people served over the last 12 months.

  • Eastern Coachella Valley LGBTQ+ Latinx programs bring residents of the ECV together in a safe, affirming environment in our Coachella community center. We continue to work collaboratively with many ECV organizations and school districts across the Coachella Valley throughout the year and are incredibly proud to have served 1,762 people in our ECV programming last year.

In addition, The Center offers a full calendar of community programsrecreational offerings, and volunteer opportunities each month. We partner with multiple community organizations across the valley to provide safety net services and host programming that supports physical, mental, and emotional health and life enrichment activities.
Every day, folks come to us because we are a safe space for socializing and meeting new friends, for therapy and group support, for groceries from our Food Bank, and for LGBTQ+ youth to escape bullying and thrive among peers. The Soto family video below exemplifies how The Center provides safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth to be empowered and know their exceptional value.
Your generosity is what allows us to be a safe space for our community and make not just a real difference, but often all the difference in a hungry, lonely, or bullied LGBTQ+ youth’s life.
We appreciate your support on behalf of current and future generations in need of The Center's safe spaces.
