Your Parkway Giving List

"Tunnel to Fall" by Wayne Anders, Appalachian Mountain Photography Competition finalist

Giving is a great feeling, and when that gift helps protect the Blue Ridge Parkway, it's even better. As the holidays approach, we've got a giving list that will make an impression and an impact.

All year long, the Blue Ridge Parkway gives us wonder-filled experiences that weave nature, history, and the culture of the mountains into our lives. Why not give the Parkway a gift in return with a year-end donation? Send a present to the Parkway.

The 2017 Blue Ridge Parkway Calendar is here! This edition features 49 images selected by voters in the RaysWeather.com photo contest, including inspiring shots of Craggy Gardens, Duggar Creek Falls, Bass Lake, and other scenic locations. It's a great way to enjoy the beauty of the Parkway all year round. Get yours (and one for a friend) today. A portion of sales proceeds benefits the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation. To order, click here.

Chances are you have shared meaningful Parkway experiences with someone important in your life. You can recognize that shared adventure by making a gift to honor or memorialize a loved one. Honorees will receive a card announcing your gift.

When you make a $100 donation to the Renew the Views program, you'll receive The Blue Ridge Parkway lithograph by artist Eric Fitzpatrick. The print makes a beautiful and meaningful gift because your contribution will help clear and protect the overlooks along the scenic route.
Make a donation of $100.

You can give a Blue Ridge Parkway specialty license plate to friends and family members who have a vehicle registered in North Carolina. From the $30 plate fee, $20 goes to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation to protect and enhance the scenic route. You can order online or call (866) 308-2773, ext. 245, to make a purchase.

You can double your generosity when you shop by designating that a portion of proceeds from your purchases go to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation. Signing up is easy: visit smile.amazon.com. On your first visit, you'll be asked to choose a charitable organization to receive donations. Simply select the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, and every eligible purchase you make will help fund crucial initiatives. If you already have an account, visit the "Your AmazonSmile" section under "Your Account" to designate the Foundation as your charity. Happy shopping! Sign up now!

Music lovers will truly appreciate a gift certificate or season pass for the 2017 Concert Season at the Blue Ridge Music Center near Galax, Virginia. They can pick and choose concerts from spring through fall at the scenic outdoor amphitheater at milepost 213 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Your gift will help support programming that sustains an important strand of American musical culture. Call (866) 308-2773, ext. 245.

The Kids in Parks program provides a network of family friendly trails, called TRACK Trails. Each trail has a series of self-guided adventures that will turn an ordinary hike into a fun filled adventure.  The p rogram's mascots TRACK the dog and KIP the dragonfly are available as plush toys. A portion of proceeds from sales help fund the program's free prizes.

We all have our favorite holiday dishes, whether it's the green bean casserole, a perfect gravy, or a savory stuffing. We might just have another winner to add to your feast: pumpkin cobbler. The recipe comes from the former Crabtree Meadows Coffee Shop on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Click here for the recipe!
