You can make a difference!
The giving has started! No need to wait until it is officially Give to Lincoln Day, as your donation will be eligible for the challenge match funds now through May 25th thanks to the Lincoln Community Foundation and its generous sponsors. Your donation to Nebraska Recycling Council will help provide statewide assistance and support to recycling and composting. Let's partner together to encourage, strengthen, and advocate to make our state an even better place to live! With your partnership, we can strengthen programs and provide valuable education as we continue to work towards a vision where all materials and resources are reserved for their highest and best use and landfills are the last resort. Because of generous donors like you, NRC is able to help Nebraskans reduce, reuse, and recycle. It's our hope that you can add a few minutes into your day to support NRC and make a donation. Let's work together and make recycling and composting happen!
Member Spotlight:
University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union

The University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union located on P Street in Lincoln provides personal financial services, serving University of Nebraska students, faculty, staff, volunteers, alumni and their families. We spoke with Dena Noe, Vice President of Member Experience at the Federal Credit Union, to find out more about the operation and how they have implemented recycling efforts into their business plan.

Tidbit of the Month
Small changes make a big difference!
Since 2016, paper usage at Central Community College has decreased by 46%. They have transitioned to an online system for receipts, purchasing, and mileage reimbursements. They eliminated personal and office printers, and there is only one main printer in office areas. Even their president walks to the printer to pick up copies. They have saved 1.5 million sheets of paper per year since 2016 with these small changes!
