Postcard Advocacy Project:
Climate Justice & Protect Immigrants

CLIMATE JUSTICE NOW postcard
PROTECT IMMIGRANTS STOP ICE/CBP Violence postcards

Advocate for a more just world to improve life for women, children, and youth.

At Assembly, we took action on both of United Women in Faith’s priorities by signing two postcards. You can help amplify our advocacy by collecting more signatures among friends, at a UWFaith gathering, or next Sunday at church! Give your community the opportunity to easily advocate.

We have plenty of postcards for you! Contact Wendy Campbell and she will get postcards to you right away. This project was a great success at the Horizon TX Annual Conference. Members like you are sorting the postcards to deliver in bulk to offices of our elected officials. This is an easy mission project and can involve any number of women with no prior experience required.

As UWFaith we are advocates for women, children, and youth with elected officials serving at all levels of government. We have been at this work for longer than the longest-serving member of Congress - 157 years!

Have fun being arty & generous

'26 Mission Project Goal: $20,000

Plan some fun this summer with a creative arts theme fundraiser!

How about a fun arts & craft event with your local group or circle? Charge for the event to raise funds for the Creative Arts Studio at LPI.
IDEAS:

• Host an event for everyone to learn a new craft from one of your talented members

• Have a painting party, a dance party or a music party, a recital, a talent show

Be creative! Share your ideas and event pictures to inspire the rest of us by emailing info@UWFaithHTC.org. We'll feature them in a future issue.
Full information about this mission project is on our website.

Pics from our UWFaith Assembly

HTC UWF at 2026 Assembly

We had a great time!

Have a look at our new photo album about Assembly! The theme was "Dream it! Believe it! Do it!" The keynote speakers, Stacey Abrams and her mother, Rev. Carolyn Abrams, retired UMC clergy, were fabulous! They encouraged us to use our faith to embrace peopleship over partisanship, because human need is not political. Rev. Stephanie York Arnold was our Theologian in Residence and delivered messages centered around the theme of abundance and living an abundant life for all. Katie Pryor and Barbara Hill were consecrated as new Deaconesses. There were also dancers, ecumenical women leaders and the music was great with a live band. It was fun to make new friends, see faraway friends and learn new things. There were interactive Town Halls and cutting-edge workshops. Really - we wish YOU were there too!Invite one of us that went to tell your circle or small group all about it!
P.S. if you have more pictures to share, send them to photos@uwfaithhtc.org
