I hope this note finds you safe and healthy.
In honor of this very unusual year, I wanted to come up with a way to show my appreciation for all our Wildflowers customers and also for one of Wildflowers’ special artisan designers, Mieko Mintz.
Over the years, many of you have become admirers of Mieko. This year, I am hearing from a number of people how much they are enjoying the comfort and the beauty of their Mieko pieces – the design, the colors and mix of patterns, the quality. I call Mieko's work "casual elegant."
Here is what we are doing. We now have 37 new Mieko Mintz jackets in the store. Below this letter are photographs of all these beautiful pieces. For the next ten days, Wildflowers will offer a 15% discount on all these jackets and vests as well as a free Mieko kantha face mask with each purchase.
If you can come in to see them, that would be wonderful. If you can't get here right now, I am happy to do a "virtual shopping visit" with you and send something out on approval if you find something you're interested in.
If you’d like to know more, call me at 609-575-7507. I am happy to do anything we can think of to allow you to have one of these beautiful pieces.
As you can tell, I am passionate about Mieko. Her work is extraordinary. And here is something so interesting, something she shared with me recently. “This Kantha cloth also has a magical purpose and is often displayed at Indian shrines or tied to trees. It is believed to symbolize prayers and ward off the “evil eye”. Traditionally, Kantha are supposed to keep their wearers safe from harm and aid in obtaining happiness and prosperity, all of which Mieko wishes for you.”
This is exactly what we need right now!
I look forward to hearing from you!
