Giving Day Tips for Success

Early Giving is nearly here!

While the Giving Day itself doesn't start until noon on Wednesday, June 25, the Early Giving period begins this Sunday, June 1, at midnight. This means that you can start accepting donations for your Giving Day campaign starting on Sunday!

Why do we have the Early Giving period?

Opening up fundraising on June 1 allows every participating organization to fundraise for their organization most of the month. This means you can use the weeks leading up to the Giving Day to collect donations, share about your campaign's progress, and build momentum. It also gives donors multiple opportunities to give throughout the month outside of the 24-hour Giving Day.

TOMORROW: Ask Me Anything!

Join Lindsey on Thursday, May 29 from 11a - 12p, for this online session where she'll review how to edit your page, what donations count for the event, and how to enter in an offline donation (checks or cash.) Then, ask her any question on your mind about this year's Giving Day event!

2025 Giving Day Organization Sizes

2025 Organization Sizes

Each year, for some of our grants, we divide the list of participating organizations into three groups based on their budget sizes (small-, medium-, and large-sized organizations.)

These sizes are for our "Most Money Raised" and "Most Unique Donors" grants. For each of these grants, you'll compete with organizations within your size group for a chance to $1,500!

Do you think you're in the wrong group? Let us know by this Friday, May 30! Changes will not be made after that date. Email Lindsey at lindseygleason@cfnrv.org.

Thematic Area Grants

New Grants!

This year, due to donor generosity, we are offering new grants based on three thematic areas organizations work in: arts and culture, education, and environmental sustainability/ natural resource conservation.

Your organization's category is determined by the thematic area your organization selected in the sign-up process.
