2024 Charity Listing Now Available

Each year we publish the list of organizations that K&C clients and Place2Give Foundation Donors supported. Broken out into issue areas along with locations, this list of ~100 agencies cover a range of causes from hyper-local, grassroots initiatives to multi-national/global agencies.

Click here to download this year's list. Donations can be made directly to these organizations through the Place2Give Foundation General Fund, or through one of the other Donor Advised Funds that are listed on the GIVE page.

This is the time of year that we are crisscrossing the country meeting with clients and their families planning out their year-end giving and creating unique experiences with Grantees.

One of the special events we had the privledge of co-hosting alongside Burgundy Asset Management and Bonham's Auctions this past month was held at the Remai Modern in Saskatoon. The focus of the evening was on managing and donating art collections and other heirlooms.

Client Case Study in the Stanford Social Innovation Review: Trust-Based Philanthropy and Indigenous Grantmaking

Earlier this summer, a client case study was featured in the Stanford Social Innovation Review on Indigenous Grantmaking and Trust-Based Philanthropy.

Trust-based philanthropy seeks to address historical and ongoing power imbalances by repositioning funders and grantees as collaborative partners, operating on equal footing. By recognizing that the organizations that foundations fund are best positioned to inform the solution, a trust-based approach proceeds by presuming that maximum impact is created when the organizations doing the work are fully empowered and when operational and funding barriers are removed.

The Generosity Guy - Paul Nazareth

Paul has spent his entire career working on both sides of the charity coin - advising to funders and charities alike. This upcoming Zoom chat will be about the good, the bad, and the ugly of why and how money flows into the charitable sector and what, as donors, we should be doing about it.

It's going to be meaty and thought provoking!
