Closer To Home Has Passed $1M Milestone

Hello James,

When you reach a 7-figure milestone for a fundraising endeavor such as Closer To Home, for a project as meaningful as the future 96-bed Four Seasons Lodge Long-Term Care Home, it seems that people really start to turn their heads and notice!

I have observed a strong wave of extra positivity and interest from donors, volunteers, and community members alike since the amazing $225,000 pledge to our campaign in early September. There is a tangible sense of growing momentum. This has manifested in a flurry of donor conversations and the additional enthusiasm I perceive when speaking to people about it.

Now, I'm not saying this didn't exist before! But it's great to watch Closer To Home grow. I love to update the "thermometer" at Ridge Road and the Laurentian Hills Town Hall and celebrate all of the generous support in our area. If you've made a gift towards Closer To Home already, thank you so much for enabling us to do this work.

It's not really our thermometer-- but yours!

Let's keep going and we will see the 2-million mark before long.

Gerry Chennette Memorial Yellow Ball Tournament Raises $1,000 For DRDHF

The Gerry Chennette Memorial Yellow Ball Tournament donated $1,000 to the Deep River and District Hospital Foundation to support the Closer to Home Campaign in September.

Let's Welcome Our New Co-Op Student From Mackenzie Community School

Welcome Wren! Last week, we brought on a new co-op student from Mackenzie Community School for the semester. Her job is to launch a new fundraiser from start to finish before the end of the term, and she's already hit the ground running. Stay tuned for more news about her and her fundraiser!
