Pastor Trudy's Message

Preaching Text: Joel 2:12-13, 28-29

 Rending our hearts. For the people to whom Joel was speaking, the heart was the place for thinking, not emotion. When Joel says the people should rend their hearts and not their clothing, he’s talking about changing their thinking. Whether our thinking or our emotions, Joel’s words resonate. What needs to be taken apart to be rebuilt in our faith?

Gracious God, we struggle to bring our whole selves to You but that doesn’t stop You from loving us. Help us to receive Your love, and the rending that might ensue. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pastor Trudy will lead us in a midweek advent worship service on Wednesday, December 18 at 7PM. This service will also be livestreamed HERE.

Las Posadas is a Mexican celebration that commemorates Mary and Joseph’s journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. The word posadas is Spanish for “lodgings” or “accommodations”. We will celebrate with St Andrew at GLC on Saturday, December 21 at 6PM.

Join GLC at Feed My Starving Children on Wednesday, January 8 at 7:15PM. Ages 5 and up (with an adult) are welcome! We have 120 spots to fill. Click HERE to sign up!

First Communion classes begin in January. Anyone 3rd grade or older who has not yet received the sacrament of First Communion is invited to participate. Contact Michelle Lata for more Information.
