Happy (almost) Thanksgiving!

Here at St. Ambrose, we have so much to be thankful for this year. Most of all, we're thankful for YOU!

From the St. Ambrose family to yours, we hope your Thanksgiving is filled with love, laughter, and gratitude.
November is National Homeless Youth Awareness Month
In Baltimore, there are dangerously few services available to support youth experiencing homelessness.

Here's what we're doing about it:

St. Ambrose has swiftly arrived at the front lines of this crisis locally and nationally because of the expertise we developed through 30 years of Homesharing. This experience enabled us to act quickly to address this urgent need head on.

Using the existing network from our Homesharing program, we’ve been able to match young adults experiencing homelessness with a Host Home that can provide them with a stable and supportive environment.

Together, we can work towards ending youth homelessness, one young person at a time.

Learn more about youth homelessness here and contact Renee Stainrod, Host Home Program Coordinator at Renees@stambros.org to learn how YOU can be part of the solution!

When a family experiencing an emergency hardship turns to St. Ambrose, you can be the reason that they have what they need to survive and thrive. Whether it’s groceries or school supplies, uniforms for a new job, or unexpected expenses, your support can be life changing .
At this time of year, we reach out to you to build our Adopt-A-Family Emergency Fund . Your support helps us provide our residents with a place where, at the end of the day, they can lay their head down, secure in the knowledge that their family is safe and cared for.

You can ensure a brighter, better future for all of our families with a one-time gift or a recurring monthly donation through our website at www.stambros.org/donate .

Baltimore County HOME Act passes!

Baltimore County recently passed the HOME act, which stands for Housing Opportunities Made Equal. The HOME Act prohibits landlords from refusing to rent to tenants based on their source of income.

"We’re here today because we believe that every person deserves the chance to provide their families with a safe and affordable place to call home. Discrimination, in any form, is simply wrong.” – Baltimore County Executive, Johnny Olszewski Jr.
