With the festive season upon us, we'd like to take the time to express our gratitude for your steadfast support of the SS United States this year.
Your generosity helps to ensure that America's Flagship remains safely afloat on the Delaware River, while assisting our efforts to secure a permanent home for this amazing vessel — the largest ever constructed in the USA.

Though she still holds the record for the fastest transatlantic crossing, the Big U isn't just a marvel of engineering; she's also a cultural icon. The SS United States carried people from all walks of life, from vacationers and immigrants to celebrities and heads of state.

More than 66 years after her maiden voyage, she endures as a lasting symbol of freedom, imagination, and the American Dream itself. As we gather with family and friends this holiday season, she serves as a reminder of what is possible, and as a powerful beacon of national unity.

With #GivingTuesday just a few days away, now is a great time for you to show your support with a one-time or recurring donation. Your gift is fully tax deductible and will help make a lasting impact. CLICK HERE to donate now.
"Visible creations such as the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, Williamsburg and Jamestown, and yes, the SS United States , reveal to all of us the genius, courage and determination of the American creed. They are priceless symbols of what it means to be an American." — Rev. Dexter Garman

If you've recently passed by the SS United States at her Philadelphia berth, you may have already noticed the bright new banner attached to her flybridge.
In our attempts to spread the word about America's Flagship, the Conservancy wants to be sure that no stone is left unturned. This new banner serves to alert the many commuters who pass the Big U each day to the ship's deep historical and cultural significance.

Are you interested in seeing the SS United States in person? Though access to the ship is restricted due to her current location and condition, you can get a great view — as well as some excellent photo opportunities — from across the street, at the parking lot of the Columbus Commons IKEA, at 2206 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd.

"Queen of the Seas: The RMS Queen Mary Experience," at Shoreline Village, Long Beach, CA.
More than half a century after she docked in Long Beach, California, Britain's RMS Queen Mary is a shining example of how an ocean liner can be restored and redeveloped — reminding us of the importance of saving America's own ocean liner, the SS United States, before it's too late.

This winter, QMI Restore the Queen and Shoreline Village present a stunning new exhibition spotlighting the Queen Mary, along with her contemporaries, the RMS Queen Elizabeth and the SS United States. The free public exhibit features more than 400 artifacts from these three iconic ships, and DVDs of the award-winning 2008 documentary, SS United States : Lady in Waiting, will be available for purchase.

Queen of the Seas: The RMS Queen Mary Experience runs from November 9, 2018 - January 1, 2019. For more info, CLICK HERE.
