Admittedly, Thanksgiving is my favorite of the holidays. I enjoy the time to gather with family and friends, the turkey, trimmings, and all the rest of it! It’s a time for reflection. And, when I raise my glass at dinner this Thursday, I’ll pause to remember those that have less, and how I need to keep doing more so that they, too, can live more joyfully. We take for granted those in agribusiness sometimes, so consider joining me in thanking those who grew the corn or potatoes, brewed the beer, or made the grapes into wine.
Can’t get enough on Thanksgiving? Are food and drink your thing? Consider joining U.S. Senator Chris Coons and the State Chamber team for the Taste of Delaware on December 13 as we enjoy some of Delaware's finest culinary traditions. This is our way of celebrating when Delaware became the first to ratify the Constitution—known as Delaware Day—and drawing attention to the very talented people in the hospitality industry! This year, we will not be in Washington, D.C. but instead right here in Delaware!
We are bringing the Taste of Delaware directly to the restaurants, breweries, distilleries, and more. Enjoy five stops—beginning in New Castle County and ending in Sussex County—with three of our destinations serving as hosts for additional culinary favorites to join us along the way. Think of the Taste of Delaware we know and love, but as a 'Taste of' each county!
We are grateful for DSCC member, Delaware Express who will take Senator Coons and our guests on this guided tour (we will bring you home too!). If you prefer to skip the bus and instead meet our crew at one of our stops—you can do that too! This year, the Taste of Delaware has something for everyone. We hope to see you there.

This is a short week for the world of economic data and news because of the Thursday holiday. However, we’ll see existing home sales figures from October today and a partial month look at manufacturing and services for most of November on Tuesday. Wednesday will be very busy as many markets and data reporters consider this the last day of the work week. We’ll see GDP and gross domestic income revisions from Q3, durable goods, personal income, and real disposable income results from October as well as October core inflation figures.
Companies with earnings calls today includes Agilent, Zoom, Korn Ferry, and RE/MAX. Abercrombie & Fitch, Best Buy, Dell Technologies, and Nordstrom are scheduled for tomorrow. Deere, Quorum Information Technologies, and a few others host calls later this week.
