Dear Members of the Sacred Heart Community,
Each day, we are given a gateway into knowing and loving God. The children of the Sacred Heart offer us a divine glimpse into the immanent gift of God, and so I offer to you a “behind the scenes” look into one of our Little Hearts classes on their celebration of Thanksgiving.

Life is a banquet with family, friend and "sisters."

We partake together. Sometimes, it is orderly, and organized. Sometimes, rather unpredictable.
Nonetheless, it is always colorful, and celebrative—especially in New Orleans. Banquets are better when shared at a feast, and even on floors!
Life gives us opportunities to feast

To prepare. To create. To glory in the gifts of nature, the harvest and, for the gift of corn - for example - and in the discovery of all the things that can be done with it.
Life can be messy, too.

A little chaotic. A little fun. A little crazy. Always unpredictable. Always something emerging. Always new. Yes, everything is washable, renewable, and able to get cleaned. Messiness is part of creation and transformation.
Do you see it?

It turns out that something is beautiful in is the midst of it all. Does it make you smile? Of course, yes, it does!
Sometimes, life just make you beam!

Maybe it is the sun, the friends, the little turkey on the cheek—just being in Christ’s heart. Life: it is rich and abundant.

Can you see what she sees?

It is all around us: gratitude, hope, and love. Oh, yes: God's radiant gift.
We celebrate this day with you and your families!  Happy Thanksgiving.
