Giving Tuesday Donations To Impact Lives, Our Community

On Tuesday, November 27th, Renz Center will be participating in #ILGIVE, a statewide Giving Tuesday initiative to help individuals in need of substance use disorder prevention and treatment.

Epicurean Delight's Feast & 
Folly Brings Awards, Laughter

Renz Board of Director Laura Newman emceed the event.
Renz Center's Epicurean Delight fundraiser was held last month at the Northwest Marriott Chicago where attendees enjoyed an evening of feast and folly. Passed appetizers started the evening, followed by a gourmet meal of salmon and chicken. Two awards were presented for outstanding support, followed by GreenRoom improv entertainment.

CSHE's Red Ribbon Bridge Project Brings Community Awareness, 
Alcohol/Drug Prevention Education

To bring awareness to teen drug and alcohol prevention during  Red Ribbon Week,  the Coalition for a Safe and Healthy  Elgin  had over 80 volunteers  attach 470 red ribbons to  Highland Ave  and  East Chicago St bridges on  October 21.

Opioid-Related Overdose Deaths 

While Kane County saw a slight decrease in opioid-related drug overdose deaths last year, overall it continues to climb. Renz Center offers  Medication-Assisted Treatment, Alpha-Stem Therapy, and Opioid Overdose Prevention Education Program that includes a free Naloxone kit to help individuals overcome their opioid addiction and beat the overdose odds.
