ACPMP Research Foundation Newsletter
Fall, 2018
Happy November!

We hope everyone has been enjoying the changing leaves, pumpkins galore, and cooler weather!  Please take a minute to read about what we've been up to and the exciting things that we have planned!

We are so grateful for the organizers, volunteers, and supporters of so many great events that've happened in that last few months. It's people like you that help us raise awareness across the globe, and are helping fund critical research and education for Appendix Cancer and PMP.

Thank you so much and we hope you enjoy the rest of your autumn and winter. And happy early Thanksgiving!

ACPMP Reaches GuideStar Platinum
Great news! ACPMP  just earned the 2018 Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar , the world's largest source of nonprofit information. By sharing these metrics, we're helping the sector move beyond simplistic financial ratios to assess nonprofit progress.

We chose to display quantitative metrics such as our research grant program, physicians scholarships and educational event sponsorship  to represent how hard we are working towards achieving our mission.
Giving Tuesday
On November 27th, 2018, ACPMP will celebrate #GivingTuesday by sharing the faces of those who support us and why. Check back to our Giving Tuesday page for our 2018 video!

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. This year's #GivingTuesday will take place on November 27th and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.
Our goal for Giving Tuesday is to further continue our mission of funding  research to find a cure for Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP), Appendix Cancer, and related Peritoneal Surface Malignancies (PSM), and also continue funding educational programs to educate physicians and patients about these diseases.

Your donation will help fund our next grants in 2019 to find a cure for Appendix Cancer and PMP.

Forever Flowers by Carol
Carol Koch has found inspiration by creating "Forever Flowers" as a way to not only bring light to people's lives, but by donating 100% of the profits to ACPMP.

Each "Forever Flower" is handpicked, cre ated, and engraved by Carol herself as a way to spread the love and awareness all around.

Carol and her family have attracted attention all over Chicago and across the globe. They have sold roughly 1,500 flowers and have raised over $38,400 so far, through their Facebook Group and open garages, and have even caught the attention of ABC7 News.  (Click here to watch video).

The best way to purchase one of these beautiful pieces is by joining their Facebook group: "Forever Flowers by Carol" where they post new pieces, you get to take your pick, and they will ship anywhere in the U.S. (first come first serve)!
