The need for high quality primary care at the community level continues to grow! Last year Authority Health Centers provided 6929 primary care visits to vulnerable patients in our four clinical locations located in Wayne and Oakland counties.
But we didn’t stop with just the traditional doctor patient visit. Our services included care coordination, case management, Medication Assisted Therapy for Alcohol and Opioid Addiction, connection to nutritional counseling and fresh fruits and vegetables.
No one is denied services based on ability to pay.

Our dedication to providing high quality primary care services regardless of ability to pay extends to developing countries aboard. Our dedicated physicians traveled to Mutomo Kenya to provide medical care to over 400 patients and provide additional training to local clinicians during a 42 day rotation.
During one trip a child was not allowed to leave the hospital due
to unpaid medical bills. Our Authority Health physicians collectively paid the bill for the child to be released and reunited with his family. Our physicians provided clinical care and facilitated a support group for women battling cancer. Cancer is still a stigmatizing condition in many parts of the world.
