Together We Give..
.
In the past few weeks and months, we’ve watched our community “socially distance” only to come together in ways we never thought possible. Extraordinary acts of generosity--volunteers stepping forward to deliver groceries, friends sewing hundreds of soft and comfortable masks, exchanging phone calls and taking the time to really listen--
This is Kindness.
This is ElderHelp--
- Providing healthy meals and/or essential supplies to over 300 seniors each week.
- Raising the spirits of hundreds of seniors, especially those who are homebound and isolated, with check-in calls and telephonic friendly visits.
- Connecting and vetting those willing to serve with those in need of support.
For our newest client, Elsa, ElderHelp is a lifeline. At 73, she has lost two of her three jobs, cutting her income in half and leaving her unable to pay rent and buy groceries. Without access to the internet, she struggles to apply for benefits. Fortunately she has ElderHelp. She rests easier knowing groceries will be delivered to her door and she has an advocate to guide her in the days and weeks ahead.
On May 5,
2020 ElderHelp will participate in Giving Tuesday Now—a special day of unity and global giving. But you don't have to wait. We invite you to join us now and through the coming week. Please share our stories and share our mission of helping seniors live independently with dignity in their own homes. It’s never been more urgent. It’s never been more crucial. It’s never been more worthwhile.
