On May 5, 2020, AIDS Foundation Houston is participating in
#GivingTuesdayNow
, a global day of unity and giving. Even in uncertain times like these, AFH continues to provide testing, housing, nutritional support, linkage to care, and other critical services to the Greater Houston community that support persons living with HIV and help prevent the spread of the virus.
We have worked with our partners to
execute a seamless transition to an operational model that facilitates safe delivery of our mission, including adapting
our
Stone Soup
program to meet the growing need in the community. We also launched our partnership with
MISTR
, a
FREE
tele-health HIV/STI testing service that provides access to
PrEP
, enabling
anyone
to obtain these essential prevention services without leaving their homes. Again, this service--and the medication that prevents infection with HIV 99 percent of the time--are
totally
FREE
.
By joining the #GivingTuesdayNow movement, you’re proving that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring the whole world together.
