WCLC will be joining this global giving movement on December 3 with a goal of raising $15,000 to go towards our work protecting and caring for environmentally significant land and water across Waukesha County for future generations.

Giving Tuesday Holiday Tree Cutting Event

Calhoun Creek Prairie

$20 donation encouraged (additional donations welcomed)

Join WCLC and Muskego Lakes Land Conservancy to cut down your own holiday tree this year and support our work! The current state of Calhoun Creek Prairie does not match the natural community that it will eventually be restored to. Cutting these trees will provide the opportunity for regeneration, improved habitat for many plant and wildlife species, and help to maintain our native natural communities.

BYO saw for cutting and rope for tying to your car.

Meyer Preserve

Join WCLC in removing invasive species like buckthorn at our Meyer Preserve, an 80-acre remnant oak ecosystem of exceptionally high quality. We’ll provide you with handsaws, clippers, and loppers for removing this invasive plant.
