GIVING a gift of Life through clean water!
|
|
Greetings!
"I truly believe we can either see the connections, celebrate them, and express gratitude for our blessings, or we can see life as a string of coincidences that have no meaning or connection. For me, I'm going to believe in miracles, celebrate life, rejoice in the views of eternity, and hope my choices will create a positive ripple effect in the lives of others. This is my choice." -Mike Ericksen

Mothers and their children wait for a turn to fill up water containers. This water comes from a nearby river, which goes down to the underground aquifer. The people believe that the water is cleaner because it is filtered by the water flowing through the sand.

Hurricane Grace was one of the strongest hurricanes ever to strike Central Mexico in Veracruz State. 14 people were killed in a mountainous region near there.
One of Agua Pura's Mexican partner organizations led an emergency program to bring food and supplies and also held programs to teach local indigenous families about water purification using WAPI's. Over 50 families received a WAPI and Agua Pura just sent 200 more for other affected families. This photo shows a woman who just received her WAPI last week. Agua Pura will continue to support the ongoing program as it expands to other affected communities in the area.

When pasteurizing water in the outdoors, as seen below, sticks are used to build a fire, allowing the water to get to a proper and safe temperature; then they will use the pasteurized water by filling it into containers, that are more than likely contaminated.

Greetings to all,
As we enter this holiday season we have much to be grateful for. We have our lives, our loved ones and an opportunity to share with those less fortunate. That is what WAPIs for the World is all about. It's helping folks in different parts of the world.
Vision:
To have the ability to assist with safe and potable water to survive.
The WAPI project started 11 years ago with a simple vision. Since then, we have been responsible for over 90,000 WAPI units being distributed around the world. We couldn't have achieved this alone. It takes many hands and many dedicated people to achieve this. Remember, we are a volunteer organization.
Many years ago, while accepting the WAPI challenge, I witnessed kind and loving people contribute to the welfare of those in need. While the world is still recovering from CORONA VIRUS and the Climate Changes in the weather, there is a bigger need for potable water throughout the world. Our recent outreach in Africa, Mexico and Haiti continues to succeed as seen in the attached photos. As I said before, we can’t do this alone. In the past months, we have sent over 2500 units to many locations around the world. Because families are being gifted by only one WAPI per family, multiply the amount of WAPI's by 5 or more because of the large family sizes come to approximately 2,500 X 5 = 12,500.
I would like to acknowledge and pay tribute to those who give willingly, without hesitation, so others may benefit. Below is a list of our Material Suppliers who have donated their raw materials.
Thanks to all our suppliers:
American Fishing Wire, https://www.afwfishing.com/ donated our specialty wire needs. And, thanks to Doug at Oregon Tackle who made this connection possible.
We recently had generous donations
from "New Partners" to the WAPI Project.
Tutco LLC Heating Solutions, https://www.tutco.com made a significant donation as well. They donated cartridge heaters for our presses.
We also work with other Humanitarian Organizations:
Chet Thomas of Proyecto Aldea Global, https://www.paghonduras.org/ in Honduras, has distributed several thousand WAPIs to those who survived two hurricane disasters last November 2020.
As you can see, working together we can and will make a difference. Consider getting involved with this noble WAPI Project and help make a difference.
With Warm Regards, Bob Tait

Are you Prepared?
We never know when an emergency may arise such as New Orleans or what happened in Honduras. Water is essential for our survival. It would be good advice to have one of our small units in your emergency survival kits. Considering we give these devices away to those in critical need, it would benefit our outreach program by selling individual WAPIs here in the USA to generate capital to continue our efforts. Please consider purchasing one or more for yourself or your neighbors.
