On #GivingTuesday, Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will be matching up to $2 million of funds raised for US nonprofits through Facebook's charitable giving tools. The match will begin November, 28th at 8AM EST. And, Facebook is waiving all fees for donations to nonprofits on #GivingTuesday.
BBDF's Facebook page is ready for fundraisers! For each fundraiser, we have the opportunity to have donations matched up to $1,000, with
a total possible match for BBDF of $50,000
on November 28th! Go to our

and click on "Fundraisers" in the left panel. It's very easy! Set it up now and then promote it on the 28th! Please

With nearly 900 guests in attendance, the Will Herndon Fund's 9th Annual Hope Under the Stars was an amazing event! It included an auction, dinner, dancing and a performance by the awesome kids' drumming group

A Cure in the Nick of Time

The 3rd Annual A Cure in the Nick of Time organized by Jessica Curran and her family was held in September in Duxbury, Massachusetts! The event raised over $31,000 for research. You've probably noticed the bees are out again this year in Austin! The YLC has been hard at work on the BUZZ campaign where they place bee signs in the yards of unsuspecting residents who are then encouraged to make a donation to have them removed. They have raised $4200 and will be buzzing through November. If you'd like to make a contribution to their effort, you can do so

Sophie Sutton, Caroline Foucher, and Mary B. Wade hosted a lemonade stand this month and APD Officer Roger Aguilar stopped and made a donation! They raised a total of $71.90!
We are thankful to all the generous people who host bake sales and lemonade stands to raise money for research!

Garland Benson is working hard to raise $1 million to go toward the treatment for his sister and others affected by Batten disease. His plan is to get 100,000 people to donate $10 each.
