Happy Fall from the GSVPOA Golf Shop!

As many of you are reading this, we have now entered our winter season for our two golf courses. Just as a reminder the Woodhaven Golf Course closed on November 1, 2021. It will reopen on April 1, 2022.

Starting Monday, November 8, 2021 the Stonehaven Golf Course will be open 7 days a week depending on weather conditions. Please call the Woodhaven Golf Shop at 304-763-3332 to schedule Stonehaven tee times and check on current conditions.

We are starting to see frost delays which may cause some tee times to be rescheduled until the temperatures are warm enough for play to start.

Starting November 1, 2021 the Golf Shop at Woodhaven will be open if the weather permits. Please call our number listed above or email us at golfshop@gladespringspoa.com or matt.felber@gladespringspoa.com.

We have been collecting and organizing our group tee time requests for next year for groups of 8 or more. Please contact the Golf Shop if your group needs regular tee times for the 2022 season.

Once again, I would like to take this time on behalf of the golf staff and myself to thank all the members and the POA staff for a great first season for me as your PGA Director of Golf at Stonehaven and Woodhaven and look forward to many more.

November has arrived and with it cooler temperatures. We are starting to see some frost on the course already. It won’t be long before we see our first snow.

Frost delays are inevitable and necessary to protect the golf course from damage. Please be patient with the maintenance staff when we have these delays. The crew also has to wait on the frost before they can begin their course preparations for play. We will be communicating with the starter and Pro Shop staff so they are informed as to when play can start for the day.

Drainage Improvements on Stonehaven

The POA is excited to announce that the Stonehaven Golf Course will undergo drainage improvements as we head into the off-season.

This work will begin on Monday, November 8. New drainage will be installed for holes 3, 7, 16, and 9. Hole 11 may be included depending on how much time is required to complete the first four holes.

Golfers please be aware that the particular hole being improved will be closed during the construction. Work will be done one hole at a time and only that hole will be closed. The rest of the golf course will remain open for your enjoyment. The starter will inform you on the first tee as to what hole is closed for the day.

We expect the project to take 10-14 days to complete depending on the weather. We look forward to getting started with this project and the improvements that we will see on our golf course.
Obey the Speed Limit, Please
