Annual Meeting Notice

Please make plans to join us at the Glade Springs Property Owners Association Annual Meeting, scheduled for Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Glade Community Church.

 

There is one open board seat. After the final slate of nominees is determined by the GSVPOA Board, each eligible voting member will be mailed a paper ballot around April 15, 2024.

 

Only ballots with one vote for each candidate will be counted. Ballots with no markings or both “for” and “again” marked will not be counted as valid ballots. Under no circumstances will a write-in vote or votes be counted.

 

All ballots must be received on or before May 15, 2024. They should be sent to the attention of the President of the Board of Directors using the self-addressed return envelopes included with the ballots. Upon receipt of each ballot, the President shall place the ballots in a secure place, and they shall not be opened until the date of the election count. The nominating committee and the Board of Directors will be asking two members to observe the count as witnesses.

 

The results of the election will be announced at the annual meeting.

The staff wanted to take this opportunity to ensure that all owners knew how to report a violation in the GSVPOA section of the neighborhood to the POA office. You simply need to provide the office with the following information via email:



  • The address of the possible violation
  • What the possible violation is
  • A photo of the possible violation

 

Staff will record, investigate, and take action as needed. Owners in the Phase One section of the neighborhood should contact the ARB Board at the resort for information on this issue.

 

This is a reminder to get your boat sticker for Chatham Lake at the POA office. The form is available at the Boat Registration Form.

 

Do you rent your property in the POA? Each time your lease renews, owners need to provide the POA with an updated copy of the lease. It is easy to do; you can just forward a copy of the lease to the POA office at info@gladespringspoa.com.

The 2024 golf season has arrived! As the play increases on Stonehaven and we open Woodhaven, I would like to let everyone know that we have some staffing changes in the Golf Operations department for the 2024 season. First, I would like to thank Tyler Farley for his dedicated work alongside me and the rest of the staff for the last two seasons. He was an integral part of daily operations as well as providing behind-the-scenes help in many other areas. He will certainly be missed, and I wish him good luck in his new endeavor. With new faces comes continued training, and we will be getting all new and existing staff up to speed with the changes made over the winter months. The staff and I look forward to a successful 2024 season getting underway.


On a positive note, the Woodhaven Golf Course was the recipient of five awards from Golfpass players in 2023. We were awarded first place in three of those categories.

The 2024 combined trail pass is now available for purchase at the Stonehaven Starter House. The pricing for the trail pass for 2024 is $650.00 plus tax. The cart lease is $1300.00 plus tax and is also available for purchase. As usual, each includes one WVVIP discount card and a yearly handicap service through GHIN. On April 1 we implemented the approved cart fee increase for 2024 and have also posted these at the Stonehaven Starter House as well as Woodhaven. The member cart fee for 18 will now be $28.00, and the fee for 9 holes will be $16.00. We will also be selling the prepaid cart fee and prepaid guest fee cards that are buy 10 get 2, so you will receive 12 total rounds for the price of 10. The golf shop will be utilizing physical punch cards this season that the member must provide at check-in. These passes are non-transferable to other members or guests, and the member must be present at check-in.

The Stonehaven course will be closed on Mondays through the summer golf season. Woodhaven will be closed on Tuesdays through October 31, 2024. Our grounds maintenance staff will be sending out text messages with cart rule information as well as pin placements as needed.


We invite all members and guests to come and visit the golf shop at Woodhaven to see our new inventory and stock up for the season. We have added Cobra clubs and Puma attire for this season, along with other great products.


The golf staff will continue to enforce and explain the golf rules as approved by the GSVPOA Board of Directors and posted on the POA website in September. (Enter a link here.)


Please be aware that our staff will do our best to explain and answer any questions that arise with enforcement.

The online tee time system is working, and members can book online.

Save the information, then log out and log back in, and it will take you to the member side. If you have any questions, let me know. 


Important information: the username must be the email currently on file. Please remember that all carts should be on the cart paths around tees and greens, and all par 3 holes are always on the cart path only. We are still receiving complaints and images of our POA members and guests being too close to the green. Please do not drive on the opposite side of the green from where the path is located. This traffic will continue to wear areas in the rough around the greens. This is especially important in the colder months when the grass isn’t growing. When you approach the green complex, please proceed to the path.


For those POA members who are interested in taking advantage of booking online, please email matt.felber@gladespringspoa.com to reset your online access and update your username and password. This is a great way to book tee times outside of golf shop hours as well.

Dam Socials Are Back!!

The ever-popular Dam Socials will begin in April and continue through October.


The next Dam Social will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 5:00 PM. (Weather permitting) Join us at the parking lot by Chatham Lake and catch up with your neighbors. Feel free to bring a snack to share, but it is not required. Dam Socials are scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month from April through October. All residents are welcome.
