Message from our General Manager

Dear Residents:

Season's greetings from the entire POA staff and board of directors! As the year comes to an end, if you have a "lot assignment" it's time for your annual registration and fee to be submitted to the POA management office in order to continue with your lot assignment.

The procedure to renew your lot assignment is:

  1. The Owner can designate up to two individuals to assign the amenity rights of Glade Springs Village Property Owners Association (GSVPOA). The name, address, and phone number of the assignee(s) must be completed on the designation form (see below). No other individuals will have access to the amenities.
  2. Both authorized and assigned parties must be from the same household and listed on the designation form at the time of assignment.
  3. The Owner shall remain jointly and severally liable with the assignee for any breach of duties and responsibilities under the Declaration.
  4. During the period of the assignment (one year) the assignee shall have the right of enjoyment instead of the Owner.
  5. A $200.00 fee will be collected for each assignment. The term of the assignment is January 1 through December 31.
  6. The individually assigned amenity rights shall be updated annually and can be changed only once per calendar year. No pro-rated charges will be permitted. The Owner designates any changes in writing to the GSVPOA Board of Directors.

Complete and submit the Designation Form: (Here)

Stonehaven Course Schedule for January and February 2024

The board has decided to close the Stonehaven Golf Course to public play from January 2, 2024, until February 28, 2024.

Why close Stonehaven in January and February?

  • Historically these are very slow months and the course operates at a loss.
  • This decision will also help to preserve the course by reducing any potential for damage or injury to golf patrons due to weather-related conditions on the course.
  • This will address the issue of no electricity or heat at a parking lot or the lack of the ability to wash the carts during this time frame.
  • It will allow the golf carts to be moved to the Woodhaven cart barn and prevent environmental exposure to the carts.

The course will remain open to owners with a valid trail pass as long as they follow any frost delays, cart path designation or complete closure due to weather. No POA golf carts will be available from January 2, 2024, until February 28, 2024. Stonehaven will not require a tee time during this period.

The board has authorized the golf operations manager to adjust this schedule if the favorable weather is forecast. This will help to bring in income when possible.

All carts are restricted to the path during January and February.

We ask that all players strictly abide by this cart rule to help provide optimum playing conditions for all players during the primary golf season.

Respectfully yours,

Linda Horensavitz, PCAM

General Manager

Matt Felber, Director of Golf

Glade Springs Village Property Owners,

As we enter the final month of 2023, the Stonehaven course will be open, weather permitting. We will be sending out daily text messages with information including cart rules, pin locations, and rental cart availability. If the weather is going to be unfavorable, there may be days when the course will be open to private carts with trail passes only and rental carts will not be available.

This will allow us to minimize payroll and staffing and try to increase profitability in the off-season.

REMINDER!! We have experienced a few frost delay mornings, and members have played or been practicing on holes before the frost delay has been lifted. Please remember that all players need to check in at the starter shack or call us to let us know if they are going to try to start on the course. Normal winter guest fees are still required for guests playing in member carts.

Our holiday sale will be December 15-16 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Woodhaven Clubhouse. Come out and take advantage of discounts of 10%–40%. Sale discounts cannot be compounded with any other discounts.

GSVPOA items make great gifts for fellow members!

The golf staff has started to enforce and explain the golf rules as approved by the GSVPOA Board of Directors and posted on the POA website in September. https://www.gladespringspoa.com/governing-information/

Please be aware that our staff will do our best to explain and answer any questions that arise with enforcement.

We look forward to closing out this season and getting ready for the 2024 golf season.

All private carts using a trail pass must have their 2023 trail pass displayed on the cart they are using when playing Stonehaven during the winter months.

The online tee time system is working, and members have the ability to book online again. Please follow these directions, and if you have any questions, please email Matt.Felber@gladespringspoa.com.

  • Go to the website (gladespringspoa.com) and click on the member tee times at the top.
  • Click on login/sign-up.
  • Fill out the right-hand side information under "sign-up."
  • Save the information, log out, and then log back in, and it will take you to the member side. If you have any questions, let me know.

Important information: the username must be the email currently on file.

Need a Christmas Gift? Gift cards are available at (Gift Card Purchase).

Please remember that all carts should be on the cart paths around tees and greens, and all par 3 holes are always cart paths only. We are still receiving complaints and images of our POA members and guests being too close to the green. Please do not drive on the opposite side of the green from where the path is located. This traffic will continue to wear areas in the rough around the greens. This is especially important in the cold weather months when the grass isn’t growing. When you approach the green complex, please proceed to the path.

For those POA members that are interested in taking advantage of booking online please email matt.felber@gladespringspoa.com or tyler.farley@gladespringspoa.com and we will reset your online access and update your username and password. This will be a great opportunity as we have recently installed our new software. The new system has many additional functions that will be integrated as we bring it online.

Please scan the available QR code at the Stonehaven Starter House or Woodhaven Proshop. Please answer the questions in the first text so we can update your information and edit our text database. This system will be utilized for cart rules, exciting new information, and other direct-to-member texts. Please call or email us with any questions or concerns at golfshop@gladespringspoa.com or matt.felber@gladespringspoa.com.

Thank You,

Speed Humps

blue_car_road.jpg

To address safety concerns within the neighborhood, earlier in the year, the board approved speed humps to be installed in eight key locations throughout the neighborhood with the end of year paving, (Weather permitting). The POA would like to take this opportunity to remind the membership that you will need to drive slowly over the speed humps to avoid possible damage to your vehicle. When the weather allows, the speed humps will be painted with yellow stripes. Two signs have already been placed next to each of the speed hump by JW Hamm. The signs have been placed within the standard industry standards for speed hump notices.

The installation locations were recommended to the board of directors by the Dam and Safety Committee and chosen based on the areas related to safety concerns in regard to speeding. The POA Staff, Public Works, and Security were consulted prior to the locations being chosen.

The paving company is behind the schedule,

Beautiful Glade Springs

Twenty years ago, I was invited to visit Glade Springs, take a tour, and hopefully buy a lot. Upon entry to Glade, the awesome beauty was everywhere: trees, hills, lakes, ponds, winding roads, fantastic golf courses, and more. It was love at first sight, so a lot was purchased. Many visits later, the decision was made to build, which was completed in 2016. Every day I wake up and have beauty surround me at nearly every turn. The one blemish is the sight of cans, bottles, to-go boxes, and general litter that finds its way out of street berms. I know I am not alone in my assessment, as confirmed by periodic next-door posts. The picture shows trash picked up over a 2-day period on Riverglade and Foresthaven roads. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a litter-free community? Please join me in trying to make this a priority. Think twice before tossing that can or bottle. Talk at gatherings or family events about keeping our community beautiful. Together, we can.
