GSVPOA is off to a snowy but bright 2021!
A special thank you to the many members who responded to our first Member Survey. This information is essential in guiding us as we diligently work to create a community with amenities and activities for all ages and interests. The top two responses from the survey were a driving range and a larger pool. The POA Board and Staff are working on the 2021 budget and a one, three, and five-year plan to add amenities, improve property values and offer a new perspective of care for our beautiful community. Unity in our Community is paramount to our success, and you have our commitment to many improvements in 2021. Your input matters, and we appreciate and welcome your comments and suggestions. If you have a friend or neighbor who isn't receiving our emails or newsletters, please have them contact the office to assist in getting them signed up.

The POA staff is working hard on organization, communications, writing, and implementing policies and procedures that weren't in place as they ventured into this new management team. We are well on our way to building the best POA in West Virginia, and I'm so very proud and thankful to be part of the process.

Truly,

Cynthia Randolph
General Manager

Winter Update from
Nathan Armstrong, Golf Superintendent

Although there are not a lot of golf rounds being played this time of year, the golf course maintenance crews are busy improving our golf courses and getting them ready for spring golf. This Fall the crews started the long overdue process of aerating the fairways on Stonehaven. Approximately one-third have been completed. The remaining ones will be done in April. Woodhaven fairways will be aerated in May.

At the midway point of the winter season, the maintenance staff is pleased to report the progress in cleaning up some of the surrounding and out of play areas on both golf courses.

On Stonehaven they have also worked on the underbrush and wet areas. This work entails includes cutting back the cattails and revealing more of the beauty found in the rock areas that frame the golf course.. They will start bunker edging in the next few weeks as weather permits. Also scheduled are several small drainage projects to help dry up some wet areas.

We are looking forward to the upcoming golf season and seeing all of our membership back out on the golf courses soon.
