FREE VITA Tax Assistance at Belle Glade Library Ends April 10th!
United Way of Palm Beach County’s VITA Program partners with the Palm Beach County Library System to offer free and confidential tax preparation and e-filing for eligible taxpayers. If your income was $78,000 or less in 2025, you may qualify for this service and could be eligible for up to $8,046 in Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). To participate, bring your 2024 tax return, IDs, Social Security cards for all members listed in the return, W-2 wage and tax statements for 2025, Form 1098, Form 1099 if applicable, and bank account and routing numbers. If you are filing jointly, both filers must be present.

Application for OCR’s FY-2027 NEAT Grants Program Closes 4/9
The Neighborhood Engagement and Transformation (NEAT) grants program provides grants of up to $10,000 to neighborhood-based groups and/or organizations for resident-driven neighborhood improvement projects proposed within designated Countywide Community Revitalization Team (CCRT) areas and the Glades region, including the municipalities of Belle Glade, South Bay and Pahokee.

Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Palm Beach County, in collaboration with Baptist Health, will host a virtual wellness presentation on pediatric vaccinations. This session invites social service and healthcare professionals to reflect on their own questions about pediatric vaccination and strengthen their ability to guide families through today’s climate of misinformation and uncertainty. This hour-long workshop will focus on evidence-based insights on childhood vaccines, clarify the current recommendations, and broaden your understanding of the topic. 1 CEU hour is also available for participants.

Protect Your Home and Legacy: Free Legal Help for Eligible Homeowners in Palm Beach County
The goal of the Heirs’ Property Family Wealth Protection Fund project is to preserve generational wealth and promote community stability by providing legal services to eligible homeowners, such as the creation of estate plans, wills, deeds, and the clearing of tangled property titles. All services will be 100% free of cost to eligible property owners.
WHEN: Services will be available through September 30, 2026, or until funds are expended, whichever occurs first.

Become a Fair House Tester and Receive a Stipend!
Why Should You Be A Tester? Testers help fight housing discrimination. You will be helping people live where they choose. Your work will help ensure that landlords and property owners follow the law. Testers complete detailed reports on their experience for the Fair Housing Project at the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. Compensation: $25 Training Stipend and $55-$75 Stipend for Each Test Completed. See flyer for requirements and more details

The Open Table Committee is currently accepting referrals to provide priority support for residents who are battling cancer. The Glades Network Table is made up of trained community volunteers who want to help you meet one important need in your life. Once a solution is available, the Table will connect you to that solution. Available supports may include Transportation to and from medical appointments, Assistance with utility bills (electricity, water, telephone), Auto-related help (gas, car payments, car repairs), and Regular check-ins for those without nearby loved ones

University of Miami Sleep Study "DORMIR" - Rural Recruitment
The DORMIR study aims to understand the relationship between sleep and heart health in Latino/as living in rural and urban communities in Florida. Over a 7-day home-study, using the best digital devices, our participants learn about how their behaviors, health, thoughts, and environment affect their sleep and heart health. Participants can earn up to $150 for participating in this study and help contribute to the information about heart disease among the Latin population.
