The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).
Required to participate:
• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID
• ONE time per week
WHEN: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Tuesday)
- 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Wednesday)

The National Financial Literacy Campaign is providing free financial literacy workshops in English/Spanish at the St. Mary Catholic Church Social Hall in Pahokee, FL. These are stand-alone workshops and each workshop addresses different personal finance topics!

The registration deadline for this year's Back To School PBC! event is rapidly approaching. The registration deadline is Monday, May 15, 2023, by 5:00 PM. Entertainment and free meals for participating students will be also provided.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
